Answer:	It is protruded from side for slicing but when I want consistent size on my slices, I tend to use my Benriner mandolin because it takes less pressure to get the job done and more efficient at it.

Answer:	Hold onto the opposite end of the grater drum and turn the handle in the opposite direction from the way you attached it in the first place. In other words, turn it backwards. You have to make sure that it (the drum) can't move or else it won't work.
Question:	Is this good for grating horse radish
Answer:	I’ve grated carrots and celery root with this grater. One of the grater wheels has fine/smaller holes, the other is larger but not huge. The larger one I use mostly. Horse radish, I would expect to be perfect. It love my grater. CuisineArt for huge batches. This is perfect for smaller portions. (There’s also the cool little containers to use for pregrating things...for storage too.)
Question:	Is it possible to flip the drum over for left-handed use? Or, does it only work on one side
Answer:	Hi there. Thank you for asking this. YES it is possible to flip the drum over and use left-handed. However, please be aware that the grating holes on the drum only face 1 way so when you use it left-handed you'll need to turn the handle the opposite direction (towards you) that you would if you were using it right-handed (away from you). We've had one customer complain of this so I want to make sure it's very clear. Question:	I recently bought a similar product advertised as a grater bit it shreds and doesn't grate. Are one of the drums a true grater
Answer:	Hello,"Grate" question! =) The finer drum can be used on harder foods such as chocolate and hard cheeses and will produce grater-like results (food will be fine and almost powder-like). However, the teeth on these drums are one-directional and are generally more for "shredding". They do not have the traditional grater teeth you would see on an upright grater which will grate in any direction and turn hard foods pretty much completely into powder. Answer:	The holes are a different size on each side and on one side the holes are definitely large enough to grate cheddar cheese. I have used this grater for that purpose. This is a, quality product that fulfills its purpose well.
