We find that in general the gap between the wood and iron is no more than 1mm. In the unlikely event that crumbs found their way into the gap, you have access from both the top side and the bottom side from which you could use a fine brush to simply clean it. While we don't have a Kombucha Vessel, we thought maybe we could rummage around the house and see what we might be able to come up with that weighs 40-ish LBS. We thought it would be fun to bring our findings to the dinner table and try them out. My hubby found 3 ladies bowling balls in the garage- each weighing between 12-15 LBS, our 8 year old nextdoor neighbor dropped by and we thought, "hey, why not?" and (thanks to Jerry McGuire) 5 human heads- all weighing 8 LBS each. Answer:	i'm not sure why you'd need a removable drip tray. this one is pretty big, rotates like a lazy susan and cleans up easily. i'd imagine you could throw it in the dishwasher, but i've never had to. my only complaint was, it came with a plastic bag taped to it, and the tape left marks on it i had to scrub with alcohol pretty vigorously. that being my only complaint, it works great. as far as cleaning, all of my utensils go into it clean, so i'd only imagine some dust inside occasionally, or some grease splatter on the outside. Answer:	The key lock cylinder can be removed by inserting the key into the ignition and then inserting a pointy instrument (awl, ice pick, skinny phillips screwdriver, etc.) into the small hole located below the the ignition key cylinder. While pressing in with the pointy tool, turn the ignition key and pull out on it. The cylinder should come out. To put the old lock cylinder into the new ignition lock housing, be sure that the D-shaped protrusion on the lock cylinder aligns with the D-shaped impression in the lock housing. I would suggest looking for a good video on the replacement of the housing. Pick the video that doesn't require removing the steering wheel.

Answer:	The stated dimensions are: 19.72 x 12.2 x 3.22 in So why does this respondent report that the pan is only about 1.5" deep? That's less than half as deep as the manufacturer states.

Answer:	my guess would be that the metal handle would take a higher oven temp. I have other frypans with metal handles that do, but my oxo pan is rated at 495 degrees and my oven only goes to 500 so I don't worry about it.

Question:	Is This Dishwasher Safe
Answer:	I wouldn’t use in the dishwasher. The wood starts to darken and eventually splitting of the wood occurs. Otherwise it’s a great set of utensils.

Answer:	No, the wood is raw. I rubbed some food grade (vegetable) oil on them and let them sit for a while. They get better with use. These are much thicker wood than most other utensils I've seen.
