Answer:	No the handle is not thicker - same thickness as spoon. Also the handle is not flat. Handle is curved on edges which I find uncomfortable to hold. The spoon is sturdy but I probably would not buy again because of curved handle. I hope this helps.

I also think the spatula is too lightweight, and the angle of the lift-up "paddle" part never seems to be right to me.

Answer:	I think the handle is wood, but the disappointing thing about this product is that instead of flexing it just simply bent. So if you are looking to scoop under something inside a pan you can't exert any pressure on the handle. It may be fine for sliding under large cookies on a flat cookie sheet, but for me (flipping large crepe-like pancakes inside a shallow fry pan,) it was a waste of money.

Answer:	The spatula is extremely large with a short handle - I think it would be tough to use it on a hot grill. The large paddle would make it hard to move individual burgers without hitting everything cooking on the grill.

Answer:	It is a plastic, and not one that is highly heat resistant. I left it in my cast iron frying pan while it cooled and accidently left the handle in contact with the edge. It melted a groove in it. Didn't destroy the function, but it did melt.

Answer:	There is nothing on the tool. The packaging may have listed the country of origin but that's long gone. You can probably guess where it came from and be right. One snag is although it claims to be stainless steel, mine already has discolored spots that will not come off. Stainless steel?

Answer:	all i can say is it what the right solution for me; i use it everyday.
Question:	Is the edge smooth all around or only two sides? Mine arrived w/the bottom edge squared off and unfinished. Corners rounded but edge square & rough
Answer:	J, mine arrived with smooth edges all the way around the blade. The corners were rounded and blade end edge was slightly beveled and smoothed. Mine was not rough on any of the blade edges (end or outer edges).
Question:	What is the overall length of the turner, including the handle...5 1/2" as stated in your ad does not seem right
Answer:	The entire length is longer. The wood handle adds 4.5 inches or so to the overall length. The flat of the flipper part is 4 inches, plus another 1.5 inches where it bends. Hope that helps you.
