Answer:	I would think that if you can hold the jar to be opened that you could open it with one hand. This opener works so easily and does not require you to use your second hand for anything as long as you can hold the jar with one hand.

Answer:	Yes use this on Ball balls and anything similar to it. As others have stated on here, it hasn't done damage to theirs. If you press too firmly you can create additional grooves in the ring, but if you test it out you'll find you don't have to press with all your might and you can open the Ball jars without doing damage.

Our Story

In 1977, our grandfather, Clifford Kuns, was watching his father-in-law's health deteriorate from a stroke and had a dream of a product design that helped people with a basic need: opening a jar. He soon realized the significance of that dream, put pen to paper, and began production. Over the years, we're proud of how radically his invention has changed lives.

Now in our third generation, we want continue on his legacy with this American made, family owned product that many have called their "best friend in the kitchen," and others say has "given them back their independence."

First Generation: Wood

1977: our grandfather Cliff invents and produces the first 20,000 jar openers in solid wood, selling primarily through church and civic organizations, and local fund raisers.

Second Generation: Lid Persuader

Early 1980s: In order to keep up with demand, Cliff moves to plastic injection, calling his product “The Lid Persuader”. Eventually featured and commercialized on national TV in the 1990s, our beloved under cabinet jar opener grew in popularity, and ventured out into kitchens across the U.S.

2002: we retire The Lid Persuader and begin distributing our product wholesale for another brand on this marketplace for 16 years with great success.

Question:	Does this open Ball jars and can i still use these covers again? or does it damage the ring
Answer:	Each EZ Off Jar Opener comes with three screws which are optimized to go into a cabinet, but not poke through it. Thus the screws we install are short, but they do the job and again this is to make sure they don't come all the way through the cupboard or cabinet. Some folks who've answers as you can see, only use the adhesive. We've tested it that way and had good results, but we can't possibly test in every condition and for this reason, we include screws in every order. The adhesive will hold it firmly in place so that you don't have gravity working against you while trying to screw it into place.

Answer:	It sure can! I had major shoulder surgery and it worked beautifully with one hand. The shoulder is fine now, but I still use this jar opener often.

Clicking on link on Amazon results is a vicious circle where you wind up back where you started every time! And no, I no longer have the package it came in (would you keep the box for a $10 can opener?) especially since I expected it to work as well as the one that was in my mother's kitchen for around 30 years!

Answer:	Hi, although mine did show signs of rust it is actually 21 years old. It stopped working around 15 years but I never bothered to pull it off the cupboard door. I didn't realise they were still available until I stumbled across it on Amazon. The beauty of it too is most can openers these days remove the entire top lid exposing a very sharp edge of the can. With this one it just removes the lid from inside the top rim. I also bought can openers for both my brother in law and mother in Law. We all bought them at the same time originally. Hopefully these are as good as the original, look exactly the same except the brand name is stamped on the opposite side. Cheers.

Answer:	China and it is not a good product. It does not open the cans without a struggle and often I must result to another opener.

Answer:	No for two reasons 1. Just not that much pressure 2. You turn the jar clockwise to loosen the lid which actually pushes the cabinet toward the wall.......having said this I have seen cabinets so poorly attached that most any weight/pressure could pull cabinet away from wall.

Question:	may I know this opener is in common use for all size can? Or is there any size limited for the can cover when using this auto-opener
Answer:	I've only used it for family sized cans, but it's tall enough to open large cans. However, I'm not sure if a commercial sized cans would fit.
Question:	Do you have to hold the can the hold time or only with the larger size (28 oz+) cans only
Answer:	The magnet is strong enough to hold small and medium sized cans,(8oz & 15.25oz),but the large cans you have to hold.
Question:	has anybody used it to open #10 size cans
Answer:	I have used it for #10 size cans without problem. I do however use my hand to support the can not real sure if it would hold the can otherwise but never really tried. Hope this helps!

Question:	Does this can opener open different size cans
Answer:	I would not recommend this product for any use. I used it 3-4 times with regular sized can and it worked poorly at best. Next time tried to use and the brand new Duracell batteries about a month later and it was not able to open anything. Wish I had returned it right off because then I found it was too late to return and I'm just out the money I paid for nothing useful. It only uses batteries and nothing "professional" about it.
Question:	Is the opener all stainless steel. Don't understand as one reviewer says "replaced the stainless and then it worked well
Answer:	I have nothing against them at all but do not use dollar store batteries for this, it will die opening one can. Energizer - lasts a very long time. This thing is great !

Answer:	Yes. It is the best tool ever. Just put it on top any can push button let it go past 360 hit button goes in reverse, stops. Open can. Buy large one opens everything.. Good luck

Answer:	I haven't tried it on small diameter cans, but I cannot see why it wouldn't work. It works great on my soup and tuna cans. However, the magnet doesn't always grab the lid. But, it's great even if the lid isn't grabbed. And, I love the NON-sharp edges it leaves so no cutting fingers!

Answer:	I returned this item - almost impossible to open to insert batteries. This was a complaint on the reviews.

Answer:	I’m sure it would but the opener is not a good one. It opened the can ok but I could not get the lid off of the opener. It kept spinning and I had to pry it off.

Answer:	It is not capable of opening a jar lid as in twisting it off. I'm guessing that if you wanted to open a mason jar by cutting the lid like the top of a can then it may work, but then the lid would no longer be reusable.

Answer:	No, they tend to fall out and spill all over.

Answer:	I believe it is fairly east to use. It does require lifting the can up into the cutting element, a fairly easy task. The cutting wheel can be pressed with the hand or even the wrist. It does not require you to grip anything.
