Improved mechanics for stronger grip, and reliability when pulling the cork out.

Step 1.

Fully open the lever, place it over the bottle and grip the bottle neck firmly.

Step 2.

Keep a firm grip, and slowly close the lever to drive the corkscrew spiral into the cork.

Step 3.

Bring lever to fully closed position.

Step 4.

While keeping a firm grip, fully open the lever again to remove the cork.

Step 5.

Release grip and carefully move the corkscrew away from the bottle.

Step 6.

Fully close lever, grip, and fully open lever to remove cork from screw.

Answer:	Expose the cork using the detachable foil cutter, lift the handle up and place on the cork, push down the lever slowly and wait for a clicking noise, then begin to lift up the cork. Voila! Simply remove the cork from the screw by pushing the lever down again and lifting it.
