Question:	Trying to make a recirculating draft line cleaner, and I need adapt this to fit a standard garden hose thread. What is the thread pattern of this
Answer:	This will not work on a garden hose. It's threaded to match a 2 litre soda bottle. I would recommend a short silicon hose with a garden house threaded Barb on one side and a quick disconnect on the other.
Question:	Is this hard to screw on and off? I have a plastic one and it is hex shape. Seems like this would be difficult to get off since it is round
Answer:	It hand tightens on and hand-unscrews back off. The only difficulty you'll have is that when you put it on your hand it dry, but if it gets wet through a spill on the side of the bottle or condensation you'll have a hard time getting as good a grip as you had when you put it on. Just don't tighten it that much, you'll be fine.

Question:	Why do I need different gaskets? What's the difference
Answer:	I'm not completely certain but aside from being extras they are also intended for a different air tight seal. I believe the ones that come attached to the lid, seal more tightly and are intended for longer fermentations while the gaskets in the bag that come with the hole in the center, are intended for your standard medium length fermentations.
Question:	Can you put these bottles and the gaskets in an autoclave
Answer:	Another way to sterilize is to place them on the lowest rack of a cold oven, set the oven for 180 degrees Fahrenheit and turn it on. When the oven reaches temperature set a timer for 20 minutes. Turn the oven off when the timers goes off and allow the bottles to cool. You don’t have to remove the silicone gasket but you can if you want. Just make sure it is washed properly before you use it. Fill the bottles as soon as possible.

Answer:	I have used 02 caps for a long time. I usually make ale or stout with high alcohol content (9% or more), and I always sanitize the caps. With the removal of oxygen in the airspace between beer and cap, I have been able to store my brew for 3 years or more. No such luck with standard caps.

Answer:	If there is such a thing as a "standard" bottle cap this is it. I measured it with a ruler and would say it is 1 inch across the top.

Answer:	These bottles are standard reusable ones and should be the same as Costco's. They need a new set of caps per each use and will hold the pressure of carbonation. I think they are a good deal if you brew your own. Out of five cases I have never lost one. Costco's should be the same to reuse.
