Answer:	It gets hot but does not melt plastic. I have found that the thin plastic containers do better as far as a shorter heat up time, about an hour for a 4x8x2 container with cold leftovers. And mine sit on ice pacs til it’s time for me to heat it up. The glass containers take longer to heat up. One f my co-workers used to heat up frozen TV dinners in it.
Question:	Can the plate handle 500 degree
Answer:	It’s probably not necessary unless you won’t have it plugged in long before eating or if you need to heat something up from frozen. I typically don’t and if I plug mine in by 9 leftovers are plenty warm by noon. If it’s frozen I need to be driving for some time during that three hours but as long as I have had a couple of thirty minute drives frozen have been warm and ready to eat by lunch
Question:	To what oven temp is it safe? Would use for finishing off Mexican food (enchiladas, etc.) in the oven

I'm glad I purchased it however for those of you who want to use this for camping or off grid when every amp being pulled from your battery counts this wonderful little workhorse is NOT ( .5 amps) as stated... It is in fact 3.75 amps when tested and it is also stamped right on the heating plate. Ironically, the 120v larger family size hot logic that we bought is only ( .8 amps ). Overall I'm very happy with my purchase! Answer:	Hi! You can definitely do that but you would probably want to plug it in around 1115, 1130 to heat it for your 12 lunch. It takes a bit of time to warm and it may be a bit longer if you're heating it from fridge cold.
