Answer:	We received this product as a Christmas gift 2019. Arrived 2 days before Christmas, and was opened New Years Eve. There was a strong odor once the lid was removed that smelled like house paint, and there was mold growing on some of the fruit, which was not separately packaged, but open in the box. The entire package went in the trash. Tried to leave a review, but was blocked. Would not recommend this for anyone.

Answer:	They are right-handed scissors in the sense that the hinge is standard with the upper blade on the right side of the scissors when they are open. That being said, they are otherwise completely symmetrical. So I have used them with both hands successfully, but I am able to use standard scissors with my left hand reasonably well. Technically I would say these are right-handed scissors but there's nothing in the design that would prevent you from using them with your left hand.

UPS does not count the weekend in transit times, and therefore gifts shipped on a Thursday or Friday with 2-day service would actually be in transit for 4 days. Answer:	In the US, refrigerating store-bought eggs is essential, because the FDA requires that the eggs be washed before they're sold to customers. The washing removes a protective coating, which makes the eggs require refrigeration so they don't go bad. In some other countries, the eggs are not washed before they're sold and can stay at room temperature safely. And, of course, if you have your own chickens, you don't have to wash off that coating before storage, either. Basically, it depends on where you get your eggs.

Answer:	The wood and the metal both hold up very well over time. The handles remain smooth, too. I have left fruit too long on the wood, yet it cleaned up easily. I do treat it with oils to keep it fresh.

Answer:	Yes, it's removable. You will need to remove 4 PE pads, and you will see screws. Remove those screws, then you can remove the wood bottom. The wooden handle is fixed, can't be removed. but if the base is without the base, then the bottom basket will be kind of useless.
