Answer:	It’s actually easier to wash by hand and is super quick, but if really messy, the body is like that of a coffee mug, so yes. The lil knife might rust around the handle. The lid is wood. I don’t wash my wooden spoons in the dishwasher, but if you do, go for it. The amount of time to load the dishwasher and run it, it could be sitting on your counter if washed by hand, warm water with Palmolive.

Answer:	Good question. I have had my first one quite some time. I try to felt lights on one side and darks on the other. If it qets fuzzy/dirty, I scratch it pretty aggressively with my fingernails and remove the piled up fuzz. You will lift a small amount of the pads fibers with it but that's normal. I would not use a carder or anything similar...these are too aggressive and will loosen the wet felted surface of your pad making it collect your fibers even faster. You can also cover with a piece of commercial felt ( acrylic blend) cut to the size of your pad. This will collect most of the fiibers and can be removed when dirty. Hope this helps.

Answer:	I ordered the white butter keeper. It was all white, smaller than the butter belle I have used in the past, but I only wanted a smaller one to have at the beach. This one holds one stick of butter. Caution: be careful in handling it though. Mine slipped from my hand, after filling it, fell to the tile floor and shattered!
