Answer:	We actually got the Sweese 3151 butter dish with the airtight lid and usually put two sticks of butter in it. We leave it out on the kitchen counter at room temperature so that we always have nice, soft spreadable butter. We have not had any problems with the butter going rancid before it is used up. We do have air conditioning so the kitchen stays at about 72°F even in mid-summer. The soft butter does seem to get used up faster.
