Question:	I received my tea maker today and the indicator light won't turn on, but the base gets hot, anyone else have this issue
Answer:	It probably works. The light on mine does work, but it's gotta be in a dark corner for me to see it on. In any case, unplug it after it's done working, after 10-12 minutes or so. To better steep tea in this device, bend two jumbo paper clips so they lie flat in the tea bucket but stick down through the little hole 1/2 inch or so. This enables hot water to back up in the tea bucket, and tea bags actually steep. Otherwise, the hole is too large so the hot water runs out quickly, wetting the tea bags but not really steeping them. With this "hack", she's a great tea-maker that takes up minimal counter space.

Answer:	I wasn't aware it had a keep warm function. I'd check it, but it's at my church kitchen. But I've never seen a button or anything that said "keep warm".

Answer:	It definitely has a problem in its heating regulator. It will not keep coffee hot like it should. Only six months old! We are replacing it with a different unit because this one is getting thrown out.

Answer:	The infuser is two piece. It does detach (unscrews) from the lid. Makes is very easy to load tea and afterwards to clean the infuser.

Answer:	Heat 1 quart of water (in a kettle) to the appropriate temperature for the kind of tea that you are using. 1. Fill the infuser basket with the correct oamount of tea (1 Takea bag or 8 tea bags or 8 teaspoons of loose tea). 2. Twist the infuser into the lid. 3. Fill the container half way with the hot water. 4. Lower the tea infuser into the container & seal for the recommended time. Remove the infuser & disconnect from the lid. Put sweetner of your choice in at this time. 5. Screw the lid back on. 6. Shake for 30 seconds (the ice will melt & the brew will cool. Serve over ice. Answer:	The 6.1 includes the handle. Be aware this is very tall and I found I gad to put it on a special shelf in the fridge. Most of the time I lay it on its side on the shelf.

Answer:	I only brew coffee in this. I wrap a rubber band around the top of a pill bottle cap and push it down over the coffee grounds so they don't float up toward the lid. Works fine.

Answer:	The ingredients are: Wuyi Oolong tea, peppermint, Chocolate flavor (that might have some sugar in it but I don't know for certain), cocoa powder, & carob powder. Oolong tea is a type of Black tea (a cross between Black & Green Tea) but it does have less caffeine than regular black teas do.

Answer:	Looks like they're MSG-free. My bulk box doesn't have this information printed on it, but each individually foil-wrapped tea bag lists as ingredients: Wuyi oolong tea, peppermint, natural chocolate flavor, cocoa powder and carob powder.
Question:	do any of the ingredients such as the chocolate flavoring have any animal products? In other words, is the tea completely vegan
Answer:	VeganPlanetBasedHealth(dot)com lists Stash among their vegan teas and adds that Stash teas are on the PETA Cruelty Free Tea list. The bag itself is 100% natural fiber (no plastics). There's no honey nor, explicitly, milk on the product's ingredient list, but at issue could be the ingredients of the chocolate from which the flavoring is derived. I'd guess dyed-in-the-wool vegans pretty much give most chocolates a wide berth given the chance milk is even a small part of the ingredient's ingredient list. Founded in 1972, Stash Tea Company originally operated out of an old Portland Victorian style house, supplying loose herbal teas and bulk herbs to natural food stores. Starting in 1975, the company broadened its focus to include bagged teas and then began to sell a full line of traditional, specialty blend and herbal teas directly to fine restaurants and through a mail order catalog to consumers. Answer:	This tea does not contain caffeine. The ingredients are naturally caffeine-free (as far as I know). Surely not a major source of caffeine.

Answer:	My tea was dated January 29, 2023.

Answer:	My husband and I bought more of these without knowing the other had ordered. We ended up wilwith over 200 bags ... which is good since I serve tea to my clients and this is a favorite. I’ve also discovered it’s delicious iced!

Answer:	I am not sure. I have only used cold brew tea bags

Answer:	Putting any plastic in a place where it can get warmed up is very bad. Heat causes plastic to leach chemicals.
Question:	I’m not familiar with this material, was looking fir glass. Is this ok to sit outside to make sun tea
Answer:	Yes, I make sun tea all the time and is lighter than glass and will not break if dropped but it is tall and occupies space inside the fridge.
Question:	if you don't infuse fruit, what is the advantage of this pitcher as opposed to using boiling water and tea bags in a plastic pitcher
Answer:	It provides you the option of using loose tea, as well as bags. And for whatever reason, the tea I cold brew seems to taste better than using the same tea and brewing it with hot water. I've tried several different types of Green tea using this pitcher to cold brew, as well as using the same tea prepared in a traditional manner. The cold brew method yields better tasting tea (to me anyways) almost every time. I have tea cold brewing in this pitcher in the fridge basically 24/7/365. Other than the unwieldy size if this pitcher , it is flat out awesome.

Easy to Clean

The entire iced tea pitcher is dishwasher safe, including the stainless steel mesh brew core and the pitcher.

Step 1

Place loose leaf tea (recommended) or tea bag(s) into the Brew Core. The pitcher is designed to hold 14 cups of water and 6 tablespoons of loose tea with the core in place. Adjust to taste; for stronger flavor add more tea as desired.

Step 2

For hot brewing, use water at 180 degrees Fahrenheit. Allow water from kettle to stop boiling and settle at least 30 seconds before pouring into pitcher. Lid must remain off for a minimum of 3 minutes while brewing to allow steam to escape. Brew for 3-5 minutes, to taste.

Step 3

Remove the Brew Core and enjoy perfectly brewed tea.

Step 1

Place loose leaf tea (recommended) or tea bag(s) directly into Brew Core. The pitcher is designed to hold 14 cups of water and 12 tablespoons of loose tea with the core in place.

Step 2

Insert Brew Core inside pitcher and slowly pour water into the Brew Core to fill the remainder of the pitcher with water to cover leaves or up to the top of the windows in the core.

Step 3

Tighten lid and place in refrigerator to cold brew. Tea brews in 4-10 hours. Remove Brew Core from iced tea. Easily screw off bottom of Brew Core to release used tea leaves. Serve and enjoy the best iced tea! Tea can be stored up to 7 days in the refrigerator.
