Answer:	The lid doesn't seal it completely, as the primary purpose of it was to allow pouring out tea or other beverages while retaining tea leaves or fruits inside. I always pour water out of it with the lid on. I wouldn't risk taking it to the car with beverages inside.

Answer:	Here is what they claim "Our unique packaging process removes the majority of the residual oxygen through a nitrogen flushing practice. Wise Company Grab and Go Food Kits carry up to shelf life of 25 years, with absolutely no rotation needed."From reading a lot of differant websites the oxygen obsorbers sound like a better process then that stated above. This method reduces the residual oxygen to the point where nothing can live in the bag like bacteria or mold. Some sites claim you need freeze dried to get 20+ years and dried food gets you 10+. The shelf life of both these methods can be reduced by 1/2 depending on if the food is stored in 70+ degrees or greater than 10% humidity.It's also a function of the type of bag it is stored in and if the bag has creases, kinks, or damage since oxygen will always get in at some rate over the years. Glass and cans will not let oxygen in but if your storage temperature fluctuates you could reach dew point in the can which will cause spoilage of the food faster. Not letting your storage touch walls reduces the chance of reaching dew point ( so I have read). The way I interpret all of these factors is that there is no clear cut answer of how food will store for you in your situation. The best sites that are most trusted warn against shelf life claims, describe a science that has a lot of unknown factors and variables (such as the percent of water in the food when packed and how the fat within the food reduces the shelf life) unless in a controlled environment. The worst part of it comes when you eat the food and it contains botulism it can look and smell normal. Botulism is on of the most dangerous toxins. Be as educated as you can be about this as it will most likely get your whole family at once. Don't trust any of what I just wrote and do your own research.

Answer:	The sugars are high 12g per serving. We generally don't like to recommend to diabetics. We are in the process of developing a sugar-free formula. Survival Tabs are produced everyday. We have lot numbers on the bottom and the 25 year expiration date is from the month they were manufactured in.

Answer:	Yes Alpha is correct just opened a strawberry and they are not individually wrapped which I kind of did not like. If they were wrapped individually you could toss bag and save more space. Also the strawberry tabs tasted very good which I did not expect.

I can't make heads or tails out of the bottom half of the package info panel.If this is all you eat for 8 days you probably won't die, but you can survive a week without food.This may prevent some of the worst effects of starvation. About the same as 8 regular vitamins and a $5 energy bar.

Answer:	No this contains 2 servings per day. The servings vary but they are around 250 each. So you're looking at 500 calories per day, not 3000, not 2000, not even 1000. Its not sustainable but 500 per day would get you through an emergency in the short term. A hell lot better than starving to death.I don't know what kind of emergencies you are planning for but in a long term emergency you would need other sources of food and a garden or a source of wild life or something, but this can help transition.
