Answer:	The same thing happened to me, with 4 out of the 6 mugs so far. I will not use the other 2 now. One broke right by my son's high chair. Answer:	They are glass so they could hold hot liquid. However the glass would get too hot to handle. I would not try to pick them up if holding very hot liquid. They are small but perfect for a juice glass.
