Answer:	I bought these for my daughter, who was a percussionist in her high school and college bands. I also bought a set for myself. They are very good quality.

Answer:	I've had these spoons for many years and always hand washed them. Recently I started putting them in the dishwasher, but now some parts of the wood are starting to get loose and flaky. So I would guess no.
