Answer:	I wouldn’t use in the dishwasher. The wood starts to darken and eventually splitting of the wood occurs. Otherwise it’s a great set of utensils.

Answer:	Depending on how it ends up, it could block the flow. The bigger concern is that there is now water in the duck which can start growing algae and bacteria. This could make your pet sick. Also, the surface of the duck is a place for both organisms to grow and you cannot clean it. We take them out. On the larger bottles you can just shake it out. It's a little harder with the smaller bottles.
