Answer:	Any plate will get hot when used in the microwave. Just how hot, depends on how much food and what kind of food you're heating and how long it's in the microwave. So, I would say the answer is yes.

Answer:	I don’t know if you can order more, but my dinner plates were poor quality! Two of them were so bent that I’m going to send them back. Only really nice thing out of the whole set where the bowls.

Question:	Why are they not safe in microwave please? Is that mean, they should not be placed in a microwave at all
Answer:	I have never seen any additional serving pieces for this set, but I love these plates especially--they double as "platters" for those of us who like to eat dinner in front of the TV! Yes, I admit it; retired folks like to have meals together and watch TV. The small squares are perfect for snacks, especially my favorites of veggie dippers and hummus or ranch dip. Even though there aren't matching serving pieces, the beautiful part about this everyday set is that any French White serving pieces will work. You should know that they are not particularly microwave friendly; food just doesn't heat up properly on them. I'm so glad they are available again because I have one or two platters with chipped edges and I want to add to the set. Yes, the edges are fragile.

Question:	Can I get a replacement for one of the large plates? I received the set as a wedding gift and one of the large plates is warped and incorrectly glazed
Answer:	You should be able to contact the company directly. When I received my CERT one plate was broken and they shipped one out immediately. That being said, another one of the plates has subsequently broken but I did not try to replace it as it is out of the Amazon replacement window.

Answer:	Hello, Thank you for your interest in our product. the dinnerware is not made to cook in the oven, but you can keep the food warm in the oven, it can tolerate 300*F.

Answer:	No. I love this set. I replaced my set from Pier 1 and don't regret it for a minute. The Pier 1 dishes chipped constantly. I've had these for about a year without one chip.

Answer:	Yes. Knives have left marks on the plates, mainly when used to cut food. And spoons have left some marks on the bowls if you use them to scrape food off the walls. Most of the marks become less obvious after being washed. Because of the texture and spots of the paint most of the marks actually look like they belong.
