Answer:	It has grip but not like a basketball I have a 30 pound ball and a 15 pound ball when I start to sweat it gets a little slippery for me so I just picked up some Thin gloves with grip on them

Answer:	I think it's probably just a protectant coating on the rubber. I would suggest washing it with Simple Green or Dawn dishwashing detergent.When I received my ball, it had a sheen on it but it didn't affect my grip and it soon wore off after a week or two of using it.

Answer:	If your question pertains to how durable it is, it's about the best I've found. It will not take slamming into the pavement or concrete floor; but throwing it into walls, etc. only causes concern for the wall. I can't tell you how thick the rubber shell is in inches or fractions thereof.
