Answer:	I have yet to use it, but by my girlfriend has twice. She said it's roughly 5/6 pumps for about a half bottle, but it clicks when it is done to let you know.

Answer:	I have never tried it, but I would tend to think it would not work. My reasoning being that wine is not carbonated and beer is carbonated. They do make a different type of stopper for champagne (which is carbonated) which may work for beer. Once again never tried it. (I usually finish my beer bottle....then again, I usually finish my wine bottle also !)

Answer:	Excellent question, and one I am surprised no one has asked before considering such an important decision as purchasing this wine saving device. The amount of vacuum this device would PULL (which of course stands for Pressure Units by Logarithmic Length) would depend on the amount of wine left in the bottle of course. Assuming half, that would be 375mL of air that would be removed. Given the rotational velocity of the earth in relation to the molar density of the atmosphere assuming standard temperature and sea level of course we can calculate the functional difference in mean particle travel (MTP) before collision between outside and inside the wine bottle. Using the equational framework set forth by Hawking Et Al in his seminal papers on vacuum energy within infinite superpositional wine containers, we know that the MTP of near earth space is approximately 2.56x10q7. And that of a 375mL bottle is 1.56c43. By envoking Boyles law, we also know that any two pressure-vaccum systems are dependently independent with respect to their separate wave function equations. When considering these wave functions harmonic resolution, we find the average MTP difference is, interestingly, also the distance between the Earth and our nearest black hole, V616 Monocerotis. Once we realize that any given pressure-vaccum system is an approximation of the cosmic background microwave radiation, however, it may not be that surprising. Answer:	Good morning, and thank you for your inquiry. I regret not being able to answer this question. The Rapid Ice Wine Cooler is collapsible, and is intended as a stand-alone cooler. Not knowing the diameter and height of the Vacuvin Wine Cooler you cite, I don't know if it would work. I wish I could be more helpful.
Question:	I read comments about replacing the insert, why? And if it does in fact needs replacing, how long before it needs to be replaced
Answer:	This item just slips over the bottle and it does not have a bottom. I have had 2 for years and they work great. They tell you that it gets the bottle cold enough within 5 minutes, but if you put it on the bottle and slip it back into the freezer for 5 minutes, you do have it ready to drink for sure. Without the freezer bonus, you will get a red chilled OK in 5 minutes, but the whites might not be quite enough for your taste.

Answer:	The circumference of this item is made for Champagne Bottles, so it's larger than standard wine bottles. The neck could be tightened to fit a wine bottle, however the rest of the sleeve would not be in contact with a wine bottle and so the cooling effect would be lost. It's recommended to use an active cooler wine cooler for wine bottles and keep this one for Champagne bottles only.

Question:	Can you store a bottle of wine on it's side for several days without the bottle leaking wine with the vacuum cork in place
Answer:	You put in the rubber cork you put the pump on top... you pump up and down until it's almost impossible to do it anymore and wallah the air is taken out. When you go to open up the wine there's a little plastic piece in the center you tilt it to the side that releases it for you to pour wine and reseal the bottle and pump.
Question:	Will these work with the Oxo pump? Can't seem to find additional stoppers for it
Answer:	Should work perfectly, just tested on a Glenmorangie and it seals well 😎🥃

Answer:	This device will keep your wine for approximately 10 days. I use and like it. The only other way to preserve wine for long periods once opened is to add argon or nitrogen into the opened bottle then seal it good. The gas prevents oxygen from spoiling the wine.

Answer:	I've had mine for five months and it's already starting to rust...
Question:	are the 6 rubber stoppers the same greyish color as the stoppers I already have with my older vacu vin
Answer:	close to the brushed nickel. I have had problems with mine trying to get it to tighten down so it will not swivel when I rub the rubber spouts if water spraying off direction. The 12 inch I replaced with the 16 inch did not have the same problem.

Answer:	Tough to answer -- chilling a white or red? Starting with already cooled wine or room temp? How hot is the environment this is resting in? I'd say it works about like most other sleeve type freezer coolers. I've seen some new ones that work more like a Yetti. This does a good job and looks a lot nicer than the plastic gel filled type. Hope this helps!

Answer:	I bought mine a long time ago and it still works great btw. My guess is probably made in China. The Wikipedia page for Le Creuset said this: 'Le Creuset products that are not cast-iron may be made in other countries, such as China (accessories or silicone products).' Hope this helps.

Answer:	Yes it does fit a champagne bottle...I just took mine out of the freezer to try it. It has elastic ribbing on the sides so it can expand but fit tight around different size bottles.

Answer:	Double stacked with the handle in place is 10.75 inches. Without the handle it is 10.25 inches. Hope that helps

Answer:	I have three stacked up and they work fine. It's just more difficult to move them around if you have three stacked up. I'd find a spot on your counter and keep them there if you're going to stack three.

Answer:	Are you going to hang them from the top of a shelf? If not, then the bottom of one just fits the top of the other and the two turn independently. If you are, then there is a tab and twist lock for connecting two (or more). As a note, as I am sure you have found out already, the fill lid is too narrow for most of my measuring spoons.All in all, I still like to product very much and have a fourth one waiting to be used. Question:	Will this fit a champagne bottle
Answer:	For me characterizing a product as being made of “cheap plastic” is appropriate only if the wrong plastic was chosen for manufacture and the product doesn’t work properly. That is not the case with this product. It has a very cleaver design that allows precise measures of herbs and spices to be dispensed without opening a module or having to find the right measuring spoon. Each module also has one snap open top each for shaking or pouring / measuring out larger amounts. You won’t find a stainless steel and glass set with this convenience! To make such a product out of these materials would probably cost $1,000+ if one could even do it. And it would be too heavy to easily use. We have had for ten years four sets configured in two, two-high stacks that sit on the kitchen counter. We couldn’t be happier with how they function.
