Answer:	Not sure, but the tube itself on the vaster bent out of shape the first time we used it. We ended up returning it and getting a metal Norpro one instead.

Question:	What is PU leather
Answer:	In South Georgia where the humidity hovers around 90-100% we do have a lot of condensation on our glasses. Yes, these thirstystones will absorb a lot of water; however, if you live in an area like where I live, then you will find that every now and then the glass will stick to the thirstystone. I have destroyed one glass topped table because of this. If you do have a lot of condensation, then you may want to be careful and have a spare thirstystone to move to when your current thirstystone is saturated.
Question:	Do these coasters absorb moisture
Answer:	The top of the coaster is actual sandstone. Each coaster in the set is totally different with natural variations in the stone.
