Answer:	I also received 8" shears, even though the product dimensions say it's 10.2" long. misleading description.

Answer:	Yes, I have used for all meat cutting. it is not the best for it but it cuts well with all meats

Question:	What's wrong with putting these in the dishwasher? In two places it says "dishwasher safe, but not recommended by the manufacturer
Answer:	You could put them in the dishwasher, however it will not do a good job unless they are open and automatic detergents are tough on sharp edges. A few drops of soap, a minute of time and a hot water rinse. These scissors are worth the care.
