Answer:	1.5 inches in the main area and 1.7 inches on the two sides
Question:	Can I chop a whole chicken in quarters? And through bones
Answer:	It's adjustable from 13 to 17.4 inches widith.
Question:	Has anyone found a sheath for this? I am looking for one to keep it in a drawer
Answer:	I suggest you check the height before ordering. I did not, assuming it would be the same as the trays that do not expand but it is not. These trays are very shallow and made to hold 1, possibly 2 items per section.
Question:	Where is the knife made
Answer:	From the front to the back it's over 18 inches... not 17 like it says
