Answer: Hello, I'm very sorry to hear you're having issues with water spots. Here is some basic cleaning and care information: Always blot dry any water from faucet surface. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to build up of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean soft cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a soft, damp cloth. Hard water stains and calcium build up may be removed using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Make certain that you rinse thoroughly with water afterward. Also take care to protect surfaces that may be damaged by vinegar. The white vinegar can stain porous stones like granite, limestone and marble. You can also use a cleaner called " bar keepers friend" which works very well with removing water spots. If additional cleaning is required, all of our finishes may be cleaned with the following household cleaners: 409, Fantastic, or Windex, when used according to the manufacturers' instructions for use. Answer: The cartridge insert is plastic (obviously). The shower head body is metal, and the inner diffuser is plastic. Everything else is metal. Delta is still the best product, and best product for money. Their SS products are excellent.

Answer: great for carving. One of the best knifes
Question: how much does the kit weigh
Answer: The Premier knives are hammered at top which is for more than just aesthetics; the blade gets thicker toward the top which helps push food away, and the hammered area helps food not stick. The handles are also different, in that the Classic handle is "D" shaped and will not work for left handed people. The Premier handle is rounded and will for right or left handed people.
Question: Are these knives any different than shun classic sold individually
Answer: It comes with a cardboard sheath for packing but not recommended to store or use as a permanent sheath. Paper is not good for the blade. I haven't found any sheaths for this knife so instead, I keep it in a wood block knife rack.

Question: Is it long enough for a 10 inch chef knife
Answer: I took a photo to send you the inside measurements, to see if it will accommodate your knife's 10" blade.It won't let me paste the photo. The inside has pockets that can fit a 5" long handle. From the end of the pocket for the handle, there is 13" of space from that edge to the opposite side where the zipper is. Total inside space is 18.5". I hope this helps.Cheers,Christian

Answer: Thank you for you inquiry. Each Shun Sora knife handle is made of textured TPE polymer plastic to provide excellent grip and balance without sacrificing ease of maintenance.
Question: Are these the same knives that are sold individually? Or are they lesser quality knives
Answer: Technically they are lesser quality. My Shun Fuji is a classification called "SG2," one of the highest grades they offer. The grades respond to a hardness rating. A one point increase may not seem like much but represents a 10% increase in hardness, which allows them to make the blade that much thinner, which allows for better cutting, etc.There are 3 Tiers of Steel Hardening that Shun offersVG10 (Which is what the Sora set is) - 60 pointsVG-MAX (Which is the next step up, the Classic set) - 61 pointsSG2 (Which is the Fuji set from Williams Sonoma) - 62 pointsThe quality of the steel, however is hardened by the same process. The blade should not last any less amount of time but will not be as thin and delicate as the higher grades of steel hardness.This gift was a set for my Mother in Law and is replacing a Chicago Cutlery set that has been through the dishwasher (eek!) one too many times. The difference is phenomenal. Just to put this into perspective one last time, even the Sora set here will be an incredible experience if you're coming from German or American steel.

In Japanese, Sora means "sky." With Sora's proprietary Composite Blade Technology, this beautiful series offers sky-high value by bringing together a VG10 three-layer san mai cutting edge with a polished Japanese 420J stainless steel upper.

Knife Handle

Question: What knives are included in the set
Answer: These are the best knives I have ever used--by far! I absolutely love them! One nit: the tips can be a bit brittle so if you do something silly with the knife, a small amount of the tip can break off. However, the overall performance is excellent! They are super sharp, the handles are perfect, and they hold an edge very well. I'm also very happy with the block! After the fact, I added a 10" Chef's knife and it fits great. As far as the knives included here, use a little initiative and check out the Shun website!
Question: Does the set come with the lifetime warranty and is there w sharpening service they offer

Shun pronounced "shoon" in Japanese "at the peak of perfection". Each Shun knife is handmade by skilled specialists and requires at least 100 handcrafted steps to complete one knife. Shun Classic knives feature a VG-10 super steel core encased with 32-layers of Damascus stainless steel (16-layers on each side). The Damascus steel supports and protects the core, which provides toughness, and is stain resistant. Each Shun knife provides a Japanese blade angle of 16°. You will enjoy the ease of cutting the thinnest slices without bruising or tearing the most delicate foods while prepping; this ensures the ingredients to stay intact, retain flavor, and stay fresh. The blade is complimented by a D-shaped traditional Japanese handle, made out of ebony PakkaWood. Shun offers a full assortment, so you will always find the right knife for the task. Answer: The covers they come with are cardboard. Not easily reusable

Answer: Yes. Is there such thing as a shun that isn’t 100 %? They are two great knives. If you look in the shun website they have both knives.
Question: What's the difference between the Shun chefs knife and the Asian chef knife
Answer: To my knowledge, the Shun knife is an Asian chefs knife. The Shun is made of layered Damascus steel, the steel used to make samurai swords, and is extremely sharp and keeps its edge very well. Other Asian knives may or may not use the Damascus steel.
