Answer:	I asked two of my left-handed family members about this. It's not easy for left-handed use. The reason is the item to be cut (for example the cucumber shown in the photograph) should slide from the left to the right in order to cut best. There is a slight ridge on the right side which would make it more difficult to slide the cucumber from the right. It's not insurmountable but it's not optimal

Answer:	If you look at the specs of this particular item it is 8.86” tall so less than 10”. The blade would not be fully covered and could potentially lead to injury IMO.
