Still, I have happily purchased the tool for friends who have been as thrilled with it as I am. |

And while I can't believe anyone would actually pay for an item such as this: no, I can tell you that it will not work for a mango. I use a fillet knife; I remove one large section from each side of the seed. I take the skin off of the seed using the knife in standard fashion. Then I cut each "half" into 3-4 lengths and, once again, fillet the skin off. I got a good fillet knife here. I was about $15.00. I consider it to be a much better deal. They recommend canola, Safflower, peanut and palm oils. Now I will quote. "Alllow the oil/butter to heat up in the pan before adding food to the cookware. DO NOT rush the preheating process by using high heat. Because of the excellent heat conductivity of your OXO cookware, food and oil can carbonize very rapidly. Always cook on low to medium heat and only use high heat for boiling liquids. Use medium-high heat for searing, sauteing, stir-frying and reducing liquids. Use low heat to warm foods, simmer or for preparing delicate sauces. DO NOT use any typeof oil sprays, including aerosols, mist and pump sprays. These sprays can cause residue build-up that is difficult to remove from all types of cookware. Always distribute the oil evenly onto the surface of the cookware. Use the 'butter test' to determine whether your OXO cookware is hot enough--simply wipe a dab of butter on the bottom of the cookware. | Answer: | The nature of quick bread dough is to become tough with too much movement of the batter when combining the wet and dry ingredients. The best method for muffin or quick bread batter is to gently fold the wet and dry ingredients together. If you put any muscle into it, you're going to develop the gluten and produce tough rather than soft quick breads, and muffins and loaves will have a conical peak to the top which is a dead giveaway that you're a novice baker. The best advantage these manual egg beaters have over immersion blenders is the incorporation of air into the mixture. It is ideal when you want to mix a viscous liquid like whole eggs or heavy cream. It incorporated air for fluffy egg whites and clouds of whipped cream. An immersion blender's very small blades are designed to not greatly disturb the surface of the liquid you're blending. This reduces splashing considerably. |

| Answer: | The info provided on line say it is dishwasher safe. I usually just hand wash though as it doesn't fit easily in the top rack and I worry a bit about it warping in the bottom rack. It cleans up nicely and doesn't stain like some of the cheaper boards. |

| Answer: | Can't help you there except that companies have been trying to do away with BPA. Also not every product has BPA. |
