Question:	Can the 1/2" thick board be trimmed or cut in half? If so, what type of circular-saw blade is recommended
Answer:	First, the board is 1” thick, not 1/2”. I thought you wanted to split it into 1/2 to get 2 large board’s. You might be able to do it with a bandsaw. But you mentioned a circular saw so maybe you want 2 small but 1” thick boards. I doubt you’d get a good cut that way unless you used a table saw.

Answer:	It appears to be hard maple. I’ve been using mine for a year and it isn’t scored. It does need to be oiled periodically to keep it from drying out. But then we live in the desert.

Answer:	I don't know about the warranty. But I love the cutting board. Those nails really hold the turkey (or whatever) in place!

Question:	What plastic is this
Answer:	It's not plastic it's Teflon and I purchased 4 of them, 1 that was used in my shop for a project I was working on and I gave one each to my two son's and kept one to be used for what it was designed for. We love the three cutting boards and as for the project worked so well other people have ask many tomes, where I bought the spacer under the trolling motor on my boat, it worked there too and the trolling motor prop doesn't hit the deck anymore and in that case it takes a lot of abuse. Answer:	Not sure what D means but I use it for leather work with ultra sharp tools and for hole punching with a 2 ton press and it is holding up very well. I would say it is as hard as my commercial grade boards.

Question:	Is this dishwasher safe
Answer:	I've had my cutting board for almost 8 months, and regularly wash it 2-3 times per week in the dishwasher at the longer and hotter pots and pans setting. While all boards of this style wil curve on one side while hat watter is applied to them, they curve back as they cool. If you have concerns, then flip your board every other time and have your machine wash it mainly from one side, and the next time, mainly from the other side. I have experienced no problems and still have a flat board.

Answer:	As far as I know. It is heavy and advertised as easy to disinfect. I love the size of this cutting board. It covers from the back of my counter to 1/8 inch over the edge. I placed a piece of the rubber shelving liner underneath and this prevents slipping. I love it.

Answer:	approximatley 4lbs. It is easy to lift and place on the counter for use.

Question:	Are there rubber feet on the bottom of this? If not, is it just flat wood on both sides? Thanks
Answer:	There were no rubber feet attached to the one I bought so I bought some at Lowe's. If you don't put them on the board, liquids could get trapped between the board and counter top resulting in a warped cutting board.
Question:	Is it pre-conditioned or do you need to condition it prior to first use
Answer:	It was pre-conditioned at the factory, with either their creme or mystery oil. I suggest buying the mystery oil at the same time as the board. While you don't have to use it day 1, I've been applying oil about once every 10 days. I live in Arizona, so those in more humid climates may not need to treat it so frequently.

The History of John Boos & Co

In 1887, Effingham, Illinois blacksmith Conrad Boos used a Sycamore tree placed on three legs while hammering horseshoes. Three years later, a local butcher realized a wooden Boos Block could be used for cutting meat, and had one custom made. Word spread to surrounding small towns and cities and by 1911, John Boos & Co was shipping custom butcher blocks from coast to coast. Throughout the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s, John Boos expanded their production and product range to include tables and workbenches, the majority of which went to the war effort during WWII. Care and Maintenance

Keeping Your Board Sanitized:

Wash your John Boos cutting board with hot soapy water after each use and dry with a clean towel or let it air dry. For further sanitation, the board can be rinsed with a vinegar or chlorine bleach solution. (1 teaspoon bleach to one quart of water/5-to-1 ratio of vinegar to water) Do not soak the board in water, this will damage the wood. Like all natural wood cutting boards, John Boos boards are not intended for the dishwasher.

Maintaining Your Board:

Oil your cutting board on all surfaces every 3-4 weeks to maintain the original Boos block cream finish with beeswax. This quick task will protect and prolong the board’s life and ensure it is enjoyed for decades to come. John Boos recommends using John Boos Mystery Oil and/or John Boos Block Cream. Answer:	Asstated on instantpot.com Instant Pot has a max working pressure of 15.23psi (105kpa). This is marked on the steam release handle. Pull your steam release knob off and look at the underside. It states the psi. One of the design objectives of Instant Pot is not to let out steam and make noise during its operation.  So normal working pressure has to be below 15.23psi.  Instant Pot’s working pressure is in the range of 10.15~11.6 psi. If you have small amount of food/liquid in the cooker, Instant Pot may touch 15.23psi momentarily due to the heat conduction delay.
