Answer:	Sorry, I dont use it for a cutting board OR for rolling out piedough. I use it primarily as a protective cover for my stovetop glass burners when not using them, and to protect the stovetop from other family members who seem determined to use it as a quick drop off site for other miscellaneous items (such as car keys, etc). I am sure it would work with piedough however, I LOVE this item.

A few quick minutes of regular oil application will ensure your new board is properly seasoned, and ready for work! The History of John Boos & Co

In 1887, Effingham, Illinois blacksmith Conrad Boos used a Sycamore tree placed on three legs while hammering horseshoes. Care and Maintenance

Keeping Your Board Sanitized:

Wash your John Boos cutting board with hot soapy water after each use and dry with a clean towel or let it air dry. For further sanitation, the board can be rinsed with a vinegar or chlorine bleach solution. (1 teaspoon bleach to one quart of water/5-to-1 ratio of vinegar to water) Do not soak the board in water, this will damage the wood. Like all natural wood cutting boards, John Boos boards are not intended for the dishwasher.

Maintaining Your Board:

Oil your cutting board on all surfaces every 3-4 weeks to maintain the original Boos block cream finish with beeswax. This quick task will protect and prolong the board’s life and ensure it is enjoyed for decades to come. John Boos recommends using John Boos Mystery Oil and/or John Boos Block Cream. Question:	Are these carving boards pre-oiled at the factory
Answer:	I don’t know but suggest you use the Boos oil. We have one and love using it. It is used daily for everything and simply oil it periodically.
Question:	Will this hold juices from a 24 lb turkey
Answer:	We've never had a problem with uneven wear on a cutting board. But, if becomes an issue, I imagine it can be sanded down. We reserve our wood cutting board for fruit and vegetables because of concerns about bacteria. For meat, you might want to consider a plastic board. A plastic board can also harbor bacteria but is amenable to being cleaned in a dishwasher or with soap and hot water. We put a few plastic bumpers on the bottom of the wood cutting board to prevent water buildup between the wood and the granite surface, as water between the wood and granite can result in a buildup of mildew and black mold (unless you religiously dry the underside after each use).
Question:	Will this fit a 20 pound turkey
Answer:	The grain runs length wise and yes the longest sides are horizontal
Question:	Are both sides of the board indented? One side is completely flat like a regular cutting board, correct
Answer:	The only warranty expressed or implied, is a 1-year guarantee against defect in workmanship and material. Thiswarranty doe not apply to damages which may result from neglect, accidental or intentional damage, exposureto extremes in temperature and humidity, and alteration or abuse of the product. Wood products ordered 'unfinished' do not come with a warranty. You must do as the others have suggested oil it often and you will not have any problems. Its starts to crack once it becomes to dry. So have to oil it regularly but not too often that will also mess the board up.
