This kettle is also decorative, if you like the retro look. Answer:	I can only say for sure that it is "high grade stainless steel" but I can't say 18/10 for sure; but I can say for sure this is heavy duty and solidly built. Looks to me like 18/10 but all I could find before I bought it was high grade Stainless Steel. It does come with a tag and the directions tell you how to clean it if rust or mineral deposits form. I've not had a problem on a well with filtered water. Hope that helps.

Answer:	Total capacity to the top rim: 3 quartsTo the bottom edge of the pour spout opening inside the kettle is 5.25 cups.To the top of the pour spout opening inside the kettle is over 2 quarts.To safely boil water I would stay at no more than 2 quarts.I just put 2 quarts of room temperature water into this kettle and put it on my electric stove burner on one notch below high.It was whistling fine in about 4 minutes. No problem using 2 quarts of water in this kettle if you need larger amounts of boiling water for a recipe. Note: until the water level reaches about 1 qt. in the kettle there will be a "splash back" when pouring water. Be careful of this.Pour water then tip kettle upright slowly when done pouring to avoid larger splash backs and possible burns.

Question:	Is the item stainless steel
Answer:	I don't honestly know. It's made well and seems like the quality you would find in regular cooking pans. Not sure it would leave a taste, but to me it doesn't seem likely. With milk you need to concern that you do not scorch the pan, nor your milk. I find it easy to clean this pot because the lid removes and there is an opening that makes it easy clean like cooking pans. I would think if you decided to use this kettle to heat milk you would need to be watching the temperature and stirring your milk almost constantly while it heats so it does not scorch and you are very aware of the milks temperature. I'm just a regular consumer, so I am not any kind of an expert. Hope my thoughts help.

Answer:	I checked the papers/ box that came with the tea kettle and along with English directions, there were Chinese letters. I cannot answer your question but at least I can tell you what is also on the paper.

Answer:	Hi, I bought the 4L kettle. Just measured it, from the bottom to the top of the lid, it's 7" (not counting the handle). Cross wise, from the mouth tip to the other end is 10". The diameter of the bottom is 7 1/2". Hope this helps.

Answer:	I would guess so but it's hard to tell..The inside has an enamel coating and the outside makes it hard to tell. The lid is definitely stainless.
