  1. Brand: Le Creuset is a well-respected French cookware manufacturer with a reputation for producing premium kitchen products. Their whistling tea kettle is a part of their extensive line of cookware and kitchen accessories.

  2. Design: Le Creuset whistling tea kettles are known for their elegant and classic design. They are typically made from durable and heat-retaining materials, such as enameled cast iron or stainless steel. The kettle's exterior often comes in a variety of vibrant colors, adding a touch of style to the kitchen.

  3. Functionality: This tea kettle is designed for boiling water on the stovetop. It features a spout with a built-in whistle mechanism. When the water reaches a boiling point, the kettle emits a distinctive whistling sound to alert you that it's time to turn off the heat. This ensures that you don't accidentally overheat the water.

  4. Materials: Le Creuset offers different variations of their whistling tea kettles. Some are made from enameled cast iron, which has excellent heat retention properties and can keep water hot for an extended period. Others are constructed from stainless steel, which is lighter and more traditional for tea kettles.

  5. Usage: The Le Creuset whistling tea kettle is suitable for various stovetop types, including gas, electric, and induction cooktops. It's primarily used for boiling water for tea, but it can also be used for other hot beverages and cooking needs that require boiling water.

  6. Care and Maintenance: Proper care is essential to maintain the appearance and performance of a Le Creuset whistling tea kettle. The interior should be cleaned regularly, and the exterior should be cared for according to the specific material (cast iron or stainless steel). It's typically recommended to hand wash and dry the kettle to prevent damage to the enamel or stainless steel finish.

  7. Price Range: Le Creuset products are known for their quality, and as such, they are often priced at a premium compared to other tea kettles. The price can vary depending on the size, material, and design.

In summary, the Le Creuset whistling tea kettle is a stylish and functional kitchen accessory that combines aesthetics with practicality. User questions & answers

Question: Is the stainless steel on shiny or matte
Answer: I think it is but not positive. You could check the Le Creuset site and see if they have any information about which stovetops are supported.
Question: Where is it made; is the interior stainless steel
Answer: The inside appears to be enamel as well, with the exception of the inside of the lid, which appears to be steel.
Question: is it suitable for induction stovetops
Answer: Sorry we don’t have it in white.
Question: Is the inside enamel as well
Answer: I've noticed that if the kettle is too full (i.e., the water is higher than the bottom edge of the spout), it doesn't whistle, probably because it's boiling there rather than creating steam to release. You'll obviously also need to make sure the spout lid is closed.

Le Creuset Enamel-on-Steel Teakettles

With classic and modern shapes, there's a Le Creuset kettle to fit into any kitchen design scheme. Useful for preparing French press coffee, oatmeal and much more in addition to tea, durable carbon steel heats water rapidly, and a fixed single-tone whistle alerts when the water has reached a rolling boil. Chip-resistant, non-reactive, resistant to stains, and easy to clean, Le Creuset kettles make excellent gifts and are a beautiful way to add a touch of color to the kitchen.

Heating Tips

When filling the kettle with water, only fill water above the first layer of holes on the interior of the spout (see diagram on box for more information).

For efficient and safe boiling, always use burner a similar in size to the base of the kettle.

Cleaning and care

Do not bang the teakettle down onto a stove's surface or work surface. Repeated banging may damage the exterior enamel.

Do not place the kettle on the heat source without having water in the kettle. Never leave a teakettle simmering for long periods on any heat source; it may boil dry, which can result in overheating and damage to the base and enamel.

Do not leave water standing in a kettle when it is not in use. A buildup of scale may occur and reduce efficiency.

Cleaning and care

Before pouring from your teakettle, remove it from the burner and ensure the handle is in the upright position.

Le Creuset proudly uses heat-resistant plastic on our handles and whistles.

Never place in the dishwasher. To clean, simply hand-wash the kettle with hot, soapy water and dry thoroughly. A gentle kettle de-scaler may be used periodically if required.

Product description

You won't let the water run dry when you hear the whistle of this tea kettle. Le Creuset constructs the traditional shape out of lightweight, sturdy steel and coats it with tough enamel. A shiny stainless-steel rim helps protect the edge from chipping and facilitates the lid positioning. The high handle can be locked in an upright position to keep your hand away from the heat, and a lever on the whistling device flips the spout open for pouring. Low and broad, the base allows maximum surface contact for faster boiling. Choose from many bright, modern colors to match or harmonize with your kitchen and other Le Creuset cookware. --Ann Bieri
