Question:	Is this cover oven proof? Is so to what temperature
Answer:	I purchased this as a gift, so have not seen it in action. I felt at the time that being open on the sides would limit its usefulness on an electric stove, but expect that a gas stove would work fine.
Question:	where is the lid made
Answer:	I'd check with your stove manufacturer. Some glass top stoves wont even turn on without a pot or something flat over the burner. I use mine on a gas stove and it works great!

Question:	How thick is the aluminum? Is it 9 gauge, 10 gauge, etc
Answer:	Hello Zikun. The top diameter of the ring is approximately 20 cm or 7 3/4 in Reversible? I don't know for sure but I believe that the ring was designed to accomodate a standard sized wok which will seat firmly when the smaller side is upwards. Also, the ring is wider at the bottom for stability. Reversing the ring I believe, could undermine safety possibly causing or allowing a wok to tip over.

Question:	How wide is the bottom
Answer:	This is the best wok, I use it everyday for Chinese stir fry of vegetables. I also have a 12 inch Calphalon Hard-Anodized Wok, and a 13 inch Calphalon Stainless Steel Wok. I don't even use them anymore, I always pick this one to use. This Cuisinart is big (14 inch), wide and light. It is not as sloped as the traditional Chinese Wok, and sides are hotter than bottom. I use less than medium on a gas range to stir fry--that's adequate. At too high heat if will stick and burn, but high heat is not necessary. It is easy to clean. When it sticks, soak with soapy water, and it comes off, and any residual is removed with Bar Keeper's Friend.

Answer:	I'm not sure but I have a flat cook top as well and it fits perfectly.

Answer:	Actually if you season stainless it is nonstick, just heat an 1/8th inch or about (not just damp, but enough that it takes a minute) high-smoke-point oil to smoke point, dump, wipe, and see how nonstick it gets. Of course soap will strip it again.

Question:	Received this item. Can any plz tell me if this non-stick is 100 PFOA free? Here's similar: Is it 100% PFOA Free non-stick
Answer:	It's not Ceramic (inert), and note they DON'T say it's PTFE free. PTFE produces potentially toxic (to pets & birds) fumes at higher temperatures -- also I think it sheds so it ends up in your food (shedding is different than reacting with foods) Shedding is like wearing out a car tire; that rubber is lining roads or in the atmosphere, like PTFE is being ingested, breathed in or in the air while cooking. So Teflon-like non-stick still has PTFE even if no PFOA.Ceramic non-stick is not a "wonder" replacement - it seems once Ceramic gets a film layer (from spray oils, normal cooking, etc.), food will stick and people are throwing it out & calling it terrible. Manufacturers promoting "Green" but poor at disclosing use info (like front load washers manufacturers denying there's a smell or mold).So I would try Ceramic, knowing that it will not work well if you can't keep it film-free (or it's bad manufacturing resulting in delamination).
Question:	How is the pan measured? Is the ten inches across the top or bottom
Answer:	Neither: the so called 10" pan is 11" across at the top and 4 7/8" across the bottom. The Calphalon 10" lid sits down about a half inch into the pan.
Question:	Why doesn't this wok have a small handle on the other side like it does on the calphalon website? is this a fake
Answer:	Thank you for your interest in our products. Our Contemporary Nonstick cookware line features 2 sized Woks: the 10-in and 12-in. The 10-in Flat Bottom Wok (item#1877054) features only one long handle whereas the 12-in Wok (item#1876963) features an additional looped helper handle.
Question:	What is the capacity in quarters for this wok
Answer:	If you split the contents of the pan into 4 you will be able to utilize 4 quarters of the pan per each section. In this specific situation you may opt to only use three, two, or one quarter of the pan with whatever food-product you desire to cook. In some extreme cases you could probably fit 5 or 6 quarters of food in this wok, which would then be filled to overflowing but with careful precision and a soft handed spatula technique it can be done! While storing this wok in-between food preparation situations, I highly suggest keeping it at zero quarters of capacity.
