BHA, an anti-oxidant, is added to protect the flavor and is the ONLY thing added to the bacon grease. However, note that the bacon itself may have been cured with any number of ingredients for added flavor, including possibly salt, sea salt, potassium chloride, sugar, brown sugar, smoke flavor, sodium diacetate, sodium phoshates, sodium ascorbate, sodium erythorbate, dextrose, or sodium nitrate. Answer:	It does not need to be refrigerated. We do recommend, though, that you keep the container closed tightly and that you do not pour used bacon grease back into the container. The little pieces of food that mix in with the grease can spoil and contaminate the grease. Hope that helps!

Answer:	According to the pamphlet, the stainless steel pot is oven safe up to 350 degrees and the lid up to 270 degrees. I have not used it in the oven, only stovetop.

Most thick bottom pans today work on Induction stoves because they use Tri-Metal technology or get a layer of magnetic metal added to their base & they work well. Mainly it's all aluminum/alloy pans that have issues as they are not magnetic. Any pan a magnet sticks to their bottom of works on glass top Inductive stoves fine.

Answer:	For storage purposes: The pan from countertop to rim is 9 7/8”, with the lid “inverted for storage” 10” (inches) tall. Currently rearranging cabinets and adjusting shelves to fit this monster!

Answer:	I have an induction cooktop and this works great. The quick boiling water capability is super convenient for juicing.
Question:	Does all the liquid of the produced juice come from the fruit or is some evaporating water re-condensing in the juice pot
Answer:	All of the liquid of the produced juice is designed to come from the fruit chamber and collect in the juice chamber. However, there is a fundamental flaw int the actual product. The water chamber and the juice collection chamber are NOT a snug fit so the steam from the water chamber escapes between the two chambers, thus producing little to no juice, which is NOT the intended function of these types of steamers. In essence, what you have is a cheap and lousy functioning steamer. If you want one that works start looking at models made in Finland. I have one made in Finland that works fabulously and has for more than 3 decades.
Question:	What are the volume capacities of each of the 3 containers
Answer:	I haven't measured each one but I'm going to guess that the water section (bottom pan) holds about a gallon, the juice reservoir holds close to that ( I usually drain it when I can get 2 quarts easily) and the fruit basket holds roughly a gallon. The juicing time varies depending on the fruit being used. Apples take longer than grapes for example. But, usually it produces about 3 quarts per 45 minute steam time with grapes. With apples I have found it helps to kind of mash them slightly when approaching the end of the steam time to get all the juice I can. Grapes, elderberries, blackberries, etc. juice nicely just as they are without any mashing. Nice thing is that with jars hot and lids boiling all you do is drain juice into jars, screw on lids and the jars will seal perfectly sterile juice that can be drank or made into jelly later. Question:	how to decrease steaming time
Answer:	To get the maximum juice for the energy used, fill the upper container (nearly 3 gallons), and adjust your stove to just keep the water in the lower reservoir boiling (it won't go above 212F anyway). With softer fruit (I do alot of blackberries) you can extract more by crushing the fruit with a potato masher after it is partially steamed and softened. Also after you turn off the heat, some juice will drip into the collector as the fruit cools. Do consider that crushing fruit will result in a few more seeds in the juice if they are small enough to get through the collector holes (but not all that many). Keep an eye on the drain hose (it is clear) and when you see the flow is just drips, turn off the heat and let it cool (usually about an hour depending on fruit). Then tip the cooled collector section toward the drain opening and the last juice will drain into your container (a gallon wine bottle works well).

Question:	What is the exact measure of the 10.24" lid inside rim? 1 person said 10" exactly, is that true? I need 9 15/16" max
Answer:	The lid for my 11 inch pan is 1/16 of an inch less than 11 inch.
Question:	Hi, what are the inner and outer diameters? Is 9.5" the inner
Answer:	For the 10" (10.24") lid, the inner lip diameter is actually 10" exactly. (So the innermost thing you can measure is 10 inches across.) The exterior/widest diameter is 10 and 11/16 inches. So each pot/pan is different, but if your pot is exactly 10" across, this 10" lid won't really sit right, as it the inner circumference lip of the lid will be lined up and balanced exactly on the circumference rim of your pot. But if your pot circumference is say 9.5" or 9.75" I'm guessing the 10" lid will sit just right as the inner lip will fit inside your pot and the outer rim will rest on top your pot, fitting snugly. But note, I have a Cuisinart 722-22 Chef's Classic Stainless 9-Inch Open Skillet which has a rim that curves outward, so the 10" lid I ordered doesn't sit inside, but I can sort of force it to sit outside so the pan is inside the inner lid rim. I may order the 9.5" lid to see how that rest on the curved rim of my pan, and will update if I do. Hope this helps the confusion.

Question:	If this pan is made of "heavy gauge" aluminum, how can it work on an induction cooktop? My understanding is only iron based ferrous materials work
Answer:	I would put it in the refrigerater to keep it fresher. It doesnt say on the pkg to refrigerate it but it smelled and tasted stale w/o it.
Question:	Is the non stick surface ceramic
Answer:	The Australia government obtained the camels and we got it from there.
