Answer:	I usually hand wash my pots and pans out of habit, but I have put it in the dishwasher occasionally and it was fine

Answer:	In fact, this pan holds 48 oz. when filled to its upper edge. So it's actually is a 1.5 quart pan. I'm pleased with my purchase. The pan and glass lid are well made. But if you need a sauce pan that MUST measure 2 quart (64 oz.), this isn't the pan.

Answer:	Instead of using screws to attach the handle to the pot, they used heavy duty rivets. They won't loosen up over time. The best way to do the job!

Answer:	It is 7". Keep in mind that the pan is not perfectly round (at least mine is not). I think others have had the same problem as the main complaint is that the lid won't fit. Hope this s helps.

Answer:	I will say that i am impressed with the stiffness of these pliers given the small cross section of their jaws. But being unfamiliar with your application and needs, I can only suggest you try a pair. Tekton tools have impressed me with their build and finish quality, and the cross hatch on the jaws of these pliers is especially well done.

Answer:	It's a medium size pan, probably 5 quarts. You could cook a good amount of pasta in it but not a large batch. The only thing I don't like about this pan is that it is so rough on the bottom, it damaged my smooth cooktop really bad.

Answer:	Yes, I t is oval. And I would recommend a silicone steamer insert. More likely to fit, and won't scratch non stick interior of pot.

Answer:	I went to the Bialetti web site which stated the company originated in Italy in 1919 and is still in business today. However, I couldn't find any mention of where the pots are actually manufactured.
Question:	Are the handles screwed on or attached with rivets that can be seen from inside the pot? Screwed on handles almost always get loose
Answer:	They have screws that can be tightened. The problem I had is the lid handle kept coming unscrewed. Then the tab that keeps it from turning broke off. Trying to find a replacement. I love the pot, hate the plastic.

Answer:	Yes; twist the lid properly on the pegs, and it will lock to drain.

Answer:	The 18/10, 18/8 refers to the chromium and nickel content of the material. These numbers indicate the 304 grade of stainless. The 18 is the percentage of chromium and the 8 is the amount of nickel in the metal, by percentage. The 10 indicates 10%. There has to be a minimum of 50% iron and no more than 0.8% carbon. The nickel adds strength, with 8% being slightly less durable than the 10%. There are other elements that go into the making of stainless steel. This pot has an aluminum core with the stainless being built around that. The aluminum allows for better heat transfer. I will go out on a limb here. Without being able to contact Farberware, I believe the pot has the 18/8 because the manufacturer did not state the actual percentage. I have had my pot for almost a year. It could not be any better unless I had two of them. It has served me very well. John
