Question:	Where is the cooker made
Answer:	The cooking time for white rice under the 'umami' setting is 74 mins. The regular setting is something like 55 min...and the 'quick' setting is somewhere in the 30's. Some of my friends swear by the 'quick' setting using a little extra water, but I'm the 'slow food' type of person and plan the time for the long cook times. These cook times are pretty much the same with the non-pressure versions in my experience.

Answer:	NO!!! I hope I can help future rice cooker customers by sharing my experience. I recently bought the top of the line NP-NVC10, which I loved but it broke in less than two weeks:( Luckily, I got it from Amazon, so I returned it for a full refund to the seller. Yesterday, on craigslist, I saw and bought this model, NS-YAC18 (in pristine condition, the lady that sold it to me said it was two months old but she had lost the receipt). Anyway, I got it for $100 so I decided to take the risk. Being able to cook/eat brown GABA rice made in both, NP-NVC10 ($400) and this in NS-YAC18 ($100 from craigslist, or $200, if you buy it on Amazon) I can tell you that the brown GABA rice tastes to me EXACTLY THE SAME! I am not saying that there is no difference between the brown GABA these two models cook, just that I can't taste it! So, if you are trying to decide between a rice maker that costs $200 versus one that costs $400, I'd say go for the cheaper NS-YAC18. Also, the NP-NVC10 did not have the slow cooker mode and you can't make oatmeal in it. So, my final say is that the NS-YAC18 is a better rice maker because: 1. There's no difference it the taste of the brown GABA rice (at least to me), 2. It costs 50% less, and 3. Can cook oatmeal, 4. Has a slow cooker mode! Yes, the NP-NVC10 is a little bit prettier, but not $200 prettier, and again only cooks rice - no oatmeal, no stews, no slow cooker. I hope this helps someone trying to decide.

Answer:	The inner pot is easy to clean. If possible do not use soap for any cleaning. Use the auto clean feature on the unit from time to time, at least monthly. Replace the rubber packing annually. Remove the stainless disc and wash. Always wait for unit to cool before washing. Use q-tips for the top of the unit where the steam comes out. Use the included tool on the bottom of the unit for the top of the unit ONLY specifically where directed. Simply wipe the inner pot clean with a soft sponge. This will ensure the durability of the inner pot. The non stick coating is very good. If you can use silicone that would also prolong the durability of the inner pot.

Question:	What is the accessories that is placed in lid
Answer:	WHAT IS THE ACCESSORIES THAT IS PLACED IN LID
Question:	How many Amps does it pull
Answer:	The label says 120 volts 1000 watts. The owners manual states nothing. The manual states it could take 'up to 17 minutes to build up full pressure.' Real figures are between 20 and 30 minutes..so it can't be drawing too many amps...I would guess around 5 amps or less.
Question:	can you can low acid foods with the power pressure cooker XL
Answer:	Yes, you CAN can in this. There are 3 electric pressure canners (that I know about) which you can safely can low acid foods with (at sea level). This item (in various sizes), the Ball FreshTech 1440035015 Auto (expensive), and the one I have, the CAREY DPC-9SS Smart Pressure Canner & Cooker (expensive on Amazon sometimes). The reason I like the Carey is that it can take the quart widemouth jars, and can also can at higher elevations. I have canned HUNDREDS of jars with my electric canner - mostly meats. Never a problem. You cannot can low acid foods with just a standard electric pressure cooker though, like the Instant Pot. It must be designed for canning, like the three I referenced above.
Question:	I do free lance surgery out of my garage. Can I use this to sterilize my equipment
Answer:	If the psi in this pressure cooker reaches 15psi, which is 135 pka if I remember correctly, which should be marked on the bottom of the part that releases the pressure (it can be removed to check), then it can be sterilized by increasing the time of cooking at highest pressure by 15-25% of the recommended one. For consumables (tools, media bottles, etc) it is 15-25min depending on the manufacturer recommendations, so it would be around 25-30min for consumables (I usually round up to keep it longer). However, decontamination of used consumables, depending on the type of possible hazard can be much greater, normally around 45min, then once it is done, you wash again, and set up for another round to sterilize for a good 25-30min. Then wait about 5min to depressurize, and you can remove the tools. If these are very sensitive items, such as for cutting, I suggest to check how long they should be sterilized initially, then you might have to place (after drying) to a single-bags for surgical tools for autoclaving to run these again and they will seal automatically as the temperature is reached out, they (the bags) should also change the colors after sterilizing.
