Answer:	If you are asking whether there are two pots and a lid, the answer is "yes". The top pan holds a bit more than one quart. When I poured in a quart of water, there was about an inch of space to the top. However, when filling the bottom pot, is did not hold quite two quarts. I had about 1/2 cup of water left over. This is not an issue for me as I wanted a double boiler and do not use the pots singly. The lid fits on both pots snugly. I have used this pot for making fudge, melting chocolate, and frosting, and I am completely happy with it. I am not sure the bottom of either pot is heavy enough to cook things other than liquids. I use double & triple clads for heavier foods. The stainless steel cleans up well.Hope this helps.

Answer:	Short answer: No. Longer answer/reason: Induction cooking requires "ferromagnetic" (iron-based magnetic) cookware. Stainless steel 18/10 is iron-based, because the alloy is based on steel, but the numbers "18/10" refer to 18% chromium and 10% nickel in the alloy. Answer:	The handles are just over 1"; the bowl is approx 3" deep. I agree with the previous answers that this double boiler is small especially when compared to traditional double boilers. However, it fits easily over my 8" wide saucepan and even better over my 6" wide saucepan. It can easily accommodate a stick of butter, several chunks of hard chocolate and it takes up much less space than the traditional double boiler.

Answer:	It's 700 mL which is the equivalent of 2.95 cups.

Answer:	Yes. This can be placed across a stove in a pot with water over a gas or any other type of stove.

Answer:	You could, it holds 2 cups. The sides aren't very deep so you would need to be careful on how aggressive you whisked it so it doesn't spill.

Question:	Can this steam rice
Answer:	I've never done rice in this pan, but I have cooked rice in pans before. Its a 2 to 1 ratio, 2 cups water to 1 cup rice (as opposed to a rice cooker which is 1:1) and you might have to vent the lid a little bit because the vent hole is pretty small, careful it can get messy. If you're asking is the steamer basket able to cook rice, my opinion is no because the holes of the basket are too large for rice. This is by far one of my favorite pots, I use it everyday!
Question:	is this induction ready
Answer:	The 3rd picture shows a coil, which is the symbol for induction as someone already said.SS by itself is not induction ready as SS is not magnetic. Usually manufacturers will put a metal bottom on SS pans to make them induction ready.
Question:	Do the handles become very hot during cooking
Answer:	pot holders for the handles are needed, yes; maybe moreso for gas flame than electric but better to be safe than sorry
Question:	There are two tiers, however, one with holes, the other does not. If the other one does not have holes, how can the steam go through and function well
Answer:	You only use one tier at a time on top of the base pan. When you want to steam, you use the pan with holes and place it on top of the base pan. When you want a double boiler for making sauces, you use the pan without holes over the base and leave the tier with holes off. Not designed to use all three tiers at once.
