User questions & answers

Question: | Is it true that the lid is made in china and/or not in the usa as is advertised |
Answer: | China |
Question: | How does this pan compare to the 4112? Description sounds very similar but this price is much lower (with a lid.) Just because of sale |
Answer: | It does not have a non stick surface. I have not had a problem getting it clean. I LOVE THIS POT. Perfect size. So glad to find this line. Great stuff. |
Question: | Why such a hard time cleaning this pan?! Just bought. First All-Clad. But sticking and staining. Even with Barkeep's Friend. Please help. Thx |
Answer: | I use mine for induction cooking only, but the following is from the description as listed by the manufacture: Suitable for all cooking source, electric, gas, infrared, induction stove or glass and ceramic cooktop.Based on their description I would suggest trusting what they say, using a gas burner is ok. User questions & answers
Question: | Does the handle get hot when you heat it up, needing to use a pot holder |
Answer: | Ore-Ida frozen hash browns stick fiercely. Thawed, olive oil, olive oil and butter, seasoned pan, medium heat, all gave same result. On the other hand, eggs over-easy in butter did not stick at all. As an experiment, sanded mine in soapy water with 600, 1000, then 1500 grit sandpaper to see how the hash browns would respond. Same result. Product: 10" stainless steel fry pan w/lid. |
Question: | Is this kettle made in America like the pots and pans |
Answer: | Checking all clads own site they say that all of their bonded cookware is manufactured in the USA with US suppliers providing the metals. Since the stainless steel range is bonded I would assume the lid is also made in the USA. They do say that certain accessories and electirc appliances are made overseas but these are subject to rigorous testing according to the company. |
Question: | How long does it take for the water to boil |
Answer: | I called Allclad and they said the only difference is that the 41126 comes with a lid. The discrepancy in the height measurement is because the 4112 listing measures to the top of the handle while the 41126 listing measures only to the top of the pan. The rep at Allclad assured me that the pans are identical and that the promo price wouldn't last forever. |
Question: | Where is this tea kettle made |
Answer: | SS is a learning curve. But once you get it, it out performs, cast iron, carbon, etc. Lots of people are jumping on the "you can season your SS". Although it does work, its a complete waste of time and unnecessary. Once u learn to use SS properly, food will not stick and clean up is a breeze. Good luck and dont give up! |

User questions & answers
Question: | What's the inner diameter of the 5&6 quart pots where it closes with the lid? if possible in cm as i'm from europe. thanks |
Answer: | It depends on the heat source and how long the kettle is left to boil. Since it's stainless steel though, it will get hot eventually, so we would recommend using a potholder to be safe. |
Question: | Is this steamer tri-ply everywhere like other All-Clad stainless steel cookware |
Answer: | Our Tea Kettle is made in China, though our factory was carefully selected to meet strict internal requirements and we only use the highest quality materials in all of our products. |
Question: | What are the individual dimensions of the steamer and the pot |
Answer: | Not long! Unfortunately we cannot provide an exact time as there are a lot of factors involved including the amount of water, the starting temperature of the water, the heat source, and so on. Though, there's no need to stand around and wait (a watched pot never boils!) - you can hear the kettle whistle when your water is ready. |
Question: | I AM CONFUSED; YOUR DESCRIPTION SAYS: (Today, All-Clad cookware is still handcrafted in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania) BUT ALSO IN CHINA. WHICH IS RIGHT |
Answer: | Our Tea Kettle is made in China, though our factory was carefully selected to meet strict internal requirements and we only use the highest quality materials in all of our products. |

Griddles are flat out one of the greatest pieces of cookware to have in your collection. As a miniature version of the kind found at diners and taco joints, a cooktop griddle’s wide, open surface cooks quickly using direct heat. Its ultra-low side walls are fantastic for foods you flip, like pancakes (a.k.a. griddlecakes) and tortillas. As part of our HA1 Nonstick collection, it's constructed of heavy gauge aluminum and its interior is engineered with 3 layers of our high performing, PFOA-free nonstick coating. This coating keeps food molecules from clinging to the surface, so it’s ideal for delicate or sticky foods. All in all, it offers professional performance and durability combined with easy food release that’s easy to clean for a convenient cooking experience. At the end of the meal, simply put it in the dishwasher or give it a quick hand washing and it’s ready for the next one.
- Features raised ridges for better searing and releasing fat, also yielding those quintessential grill marks
- Made from heavy-gauge, hard-anodized aluminum coated with 3 layers of a safe PFOA-free nonstick material that delivers unparelleled release, scratch-resistance, and durability
- Compatible with all cooktops, including induction thanks to its durable, anti-warp stainless-steel base, and safe to use in an oven and broiler (up to 500°F)
- Secured with riveted stainless steel handles to ensure a safe grip
- Dishwasher safe but we recommend handwashing to preserve the nonstick coating. And you just might want to hold onto it a little longer.
- Backed by All-Clad's Limited Lifetime Warranty
User questions & answers
Question: | What are the actual dimensions of this griddle? is it 11 x 11? or is it 11 x |
Answer: | It is 9.5 inches, 24 cm. The bottom of the inner pot is a bit smaller, 8.5 inches ~ 21 cm. Hope this info help. Good luck. |
Question: | does the underside of the 11" griddle have the silver plate for disbursing heat like the skillets? or is it just the anodized body |
Answer: | The bottom is tri-ply. The item is made in China. |
Question: | How high are sides |
Answer: | I'll do my best to answer this qustion. The inside diameter of the steamer basket is 9.5 inches at its' widest point and 4 1/8th inches deep. The pot depth is 5 7/8 inches. When inserted, the steamer basked goes into the pot approximately 1 3/4 inches.I use this steamer regularly. In fact, I used it today to par-steam two pounds of Brussels Sprouts for freezing. I could not be happier with the product. It gets a great deal of use in my kitchen. |
Question: | Can this pan be used on induction cooktop |
Answer: | Hi Keith,All "claded" ply- 3, 5, or the new 7 in stainless and MC2, along with copper core, and copper cookware is made in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. In other words, any item that has been cladded all the way from top to bottom, is USA made. If any item is a clad bottom ONLY- does not go all the way up the pot or pan, like the one pictured, it is made in China. The "B3" anodized is also made in China as it is not clad all the way. Hope this helps. |

Question: | I want to buy this but the description is spelled incorrectly. This makes me concerned that it is a fake. Can anyone confirm that it is legit |
Answer: | 11 X 11 I LOVE THIS GRIDDLE. USE IT EVERY DAY. |
Question: | Does this pan scratch |
Answer: | the silver plate on some all-clad aluminum skillets (but not this griddle) is not for dispersing heat -- it is to enable the skillet to be used on an induction cooktop. |
Question: | What is the diameter of the top edge of the pan, and how tall are the sides without the lid |
Answer: | The sides are 5/16-th of an inch (0.3125") above the bottom of the griddle. |
Question: | What is the diameter of the flat silver colored magnetized plate on the bottom? Important to know which size induction burner i can use it on. Thanks |
Answer: | The anodized aluminum frying pans and the pots in this collection are induction compatable. They somehow decided not to laminate the stainless still bottom plate to the griddle like they did on the pots and frying pans. I use the all the time on my induction unit. Look at the product pictures that show them in the dishwasher and see the stainless steel bottom plate laminated on the anodized aluminum pans, but there is none on the griddle. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the interior diameter of the pan |
Answer: | Yes there is an oval opening at the tip of the handle |
Question: | What makes these superior to the hard anodized models |
Answer: | 8" internal diameter (+ about 1/8" pan thickness each side) and 4 1/4" pan height (without lid). Had this pan plus a 12" dia frypan for a few years now - still love them both - perfect for just about all my day to day cooking needs though a really big stockpot would also be great for occasional use. |
Question: | If you fry an egg on this, will it just slip off like a “non stick surface” should |
Answer: | I have the 3-1/2 quart and it is 8 inches in diameter and 4 inches tall. |
Question: | is this pan made in china? I heard all clad is making their line in China now |
Answer: | For me, the difference is worth it. Since my children are all grown and on there own, I don't cook in large quantities anymore. So the small potsare just the thing for everyday cooking. I'll cook potatoes for mashing in the 2 qt. and a vegetable in the 1.5 qt. I also have a 3 qt. with steamer, a 4 qt. for cooking soups and spaghetti, and a 6 qt for getting veggies ready for canning. I kept a 1 qt. pot from my old set of Revere Ware and use it for sauces. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Why is the 1-1/2 qt. about $100 and the 3 qt. about $150, yet the 2 qt is |
Answer: | The flat portion of the interior is about 7.75". At it's widest point, the interior measures about 9.5". It is 1.5" deep. The 9" measurement falls about 1/2 way up the side. |
Question: | How does the handle on this feel compared to the stainless steel tri-ply version |
Answer: | These are stainless steel versus anodized aluminum. A difference like diamonds and sapphires. Both precious stones, but diamond is harder. Anodized aluminum is single ply coated by anodizing the aluminum pan. This particular skillet is three-ply with a single core of thick aluminum fused between two stainless steel layers for the best heat conduction except for copper. The only aluminum core that’s better than this is the All-Clad 5-core with two Aluminum cores fused between three stainless cores (SS/AL/SS/AL/SS) and again the only thing better and singularly the best is the 5-core copper (SS/CO/SS/CO/SS). But a 10 or 11 inch skillet with a 3-inch depth will run about $400+ if by All-Clad. But it’s worth every penny. It will last a lifetime and generally, these are what you find in the finest restaurants in the US and in many European ones. As the old adage goes, ‘You get what you pay for.’ |
Question: | Is the lid glass? Hard to tell from the photo |
Answer: | With a little butter, yes. Fried along, it will need a little push with a silicone or nylon spatula. And be sure to NEVER use non-vegetable oil spray. If you want to use a non-stick spray, be sure it’s oil based such as an olive oil spray. |
Question: | Does this pot come with a lid |
Answer: | All All-Clad are always made in the USA. You should know this is one of the great things about All-Clad items. Always have and always will be made here. China?>. Never!!! |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does All-clad make anything smaller then 2.5 qt |
Answer: | There is special sale pricing on some items that may be lower than pricing on smaller items. Also some third party sellers on Amazon may be selling items at prices that are not approved by All-Clad. These seller may be unauthorized to sell All-Clad. |
Question: | Does this pan (3.5 q) come with a lid |
Answer: | I don't have the tri-ply, but I like the long handle on my large stove top (six burners) and the small handle to care it safely, distribute the weight on my aging wrists! Of course the small handle gets hot however as a chef, I always have a side towel in one hand and tongs in the other! Love this pot's capacity/weight ratio from steaming veg. to making a small soup. |
Question: | Does this pan (3.5 q) come with a lid |
Answer: | No, the lid is Stainless Steel. |
Question: | The metal on the bottom of this pan is coming off on my stove, is this normal |
Answer: | Comes with a lid and all the quality you would expect from the best cookware currently available. absolutly no hot spots and cleans up in a breeze if you follow the instructions. Highly recommend! |

User questions & answers
Question: | Brushed or polished exterior finish |
Answer: | I believe that is right. I have had mine for approx 6 months now so not sure how accurate that is. I love these pans. |
Question: | The pictures show 2 different lips. Whick pot is it the lipped or flush top pot |
Answer: | I have a glass cook top and they do just fine. I haven’t had trouble with the lids- there is one that will fit each pot. Not one for each pot but one that will fit the pots in the set. |
Question: | Is there a lid for this? What size would fit? Anyone know? Dimensions aren’t listed |
Answer: | They clean so easily, we don't put them in the dishwasher. I've read mixed reviews as to dishwasher results, so we just don't do it. |
Question: | Is this butter warmer pan made in the USA |
Answer: | As with any cookware with metal handles, if you leave them on enough heat for long enough, you should expect the handles to get hot. I wouldn't say these get any hotter than any other cookware with metal handles. Use a potholder if you need to. |

You don’t have to be an executive chef to have a copper and stainless steel Chef’s Pan, but having it just might help you cook like one. Like a multi-talented chef, its versatile features allow you to tackle a variety of tasks without swapping pans. For example, the flat base and wide mouth are great for reducing stock and thickening sauces, but if you pop on the domed lid, it helps retain moisture for meats and veggies, and the flared edges and ample surface area are ideal for stir-frying. As part of our Copper Core collection, this Chef’s Pan features a thick copper core, 2 layers of aluminum, and 2 layers of stainless steel. This unique construction makes it ultra-responsive to heat, disperses heat evenly, and creates unmatched, long-lasting durability. User questions & answers
Question: | is the cooking sticky |
Answer: | Polished exterior! |
Question: | How deep is this pan |
Answer: | The pot I have is lipped. |
Question: | What is your favorite thing to cook is this pan, and why is this pan unique to that meal |
Answer: | It does not come with a lid, inside diameter is 4 1/2 inches (11 cm). Depth is about 2 1/2 inches (6 cm). I use it for warming butter/oils. It is small, and a lid might cause boil overs. |
Question: | How large is the diameter of the cooking surface? not the diameter of the pan itself |
Answer: | My butter warmer was made in the USA. I returned the only All-Clad product (pizza stone) that was not made in the USA. I won't pay their high prices for products made overseas. |
