Answer:	I assume it would. I recommend mounting the brackets underneath the shelf, for better support. But the brackets (or at least 1) have to hit a stud. Frank

Answer:	Drill-bit size: 8mm.
Question:	Where is this attached to the wall? Just at the top or at the shelves, as well
Answer:	The actual shelf does not attach to the wall. First you mount the brackets. When you mount the brackets (I mounted the brackets underneath, for better support). Since the shelf is 24.5", you won't be able to hit 2 studs. I mounted, 1 bracket (the right side), but it doesn't matter which side, as long as you mount 1 bracket, to 1 stud. The second bracket, will not hit a stud (16" between studs ). For the second stud, I used the biggest toggle bolts, I could find, that would fit the 2 mounting holes, on the bracket. After you mount the brackets, the shelf screws on to the brackets, with supplied screws. When you hang your pots and pans, start with the heaviest pot or pan on the stud supported side. Then hang your pots or pans, heaviest to lightest. My has over 20 labs. Of pots and pans hanging(She used all of the supplied hooks). She also uses the top of the shelf (with the railing) for 2 stoneware pots and a electric grinders. Remember, there are 2 ways, to mount the shelf. I recommend mounting the brackets underneath. Question:	Would it be safe to install over a stove
Answer:	It is pretty sturdy, an mine is mounted on a wall near the stove. If you use anchors rated for over 50 pounds, or can locate a stud in the wall that you can screw at least one side down into, then it should fit ok. I have usually got up to 10 pans hanging on it with two big spaghetti pans on the shelf. The hooks sometimes fall off when I am taking a pan down for use. This could be unexpected behavior. The hooks could drop into what you’re cooking.

Answer:	I have 4 big cast irons hanging from the bottom one. However I used stronger anchors to the wall, not the ones it came with. I’m sure you can put more. I’m really happy with it.
Question:	What kind/size screws are needed for this to hang on drywall? I have this rack already. I moved recently and no longer her the original screws
Answer:	I would not anchor this on drywall. Instead, get a board (minimum 1/2 inch thick) and secure it to studs using 2.5 to 3 inch drywall type screws. Note, get a nice looking board, pine is alright to use, I would not use plywood, but you can if you want. Now, just to be clear, locate the studs using a small drill bit and drill holes about an inch apart across your wall until you hit a stud. Drill these holes in the area where you plan to mount the rack. Once you find one stud, the next one will be easier to find, i.e., studs in walls are either 12 , 18, or 24 inches center to center; so measure (probably 18 inches) from the first stud to the next one and drill a hole; if you hit a stud great, if not try drilling a hole about 1/2 an inch on either side of the first hole. If you still don't find a stud, try to locate one at 24 inches, etc.. Don't worry about all the little holes you have drilled in order to locate the studs, i.e., you can mud and paint them over, or just cover them with the board. Once you have located the 2 studs, using the aforementioned screws, screw through the board, through the drywall and into the studs using 4 screws; 2 in each stud (or more if you want). Note that, studs run perpendicular to the floor, using a level, you can locate where the 2 screws should be. Note, the rack has two holes on each side used for mounting the rack to the wall: Knowing this, you can use 2 boards, one for the top row of mounting holes and one for the bottom, or, you can use just one board depending on what you like. Also, you can paint, stain, or leave natural. Pay attention to aesthetics. Insure that the board is level after mounting; use a tape measure to determine where to put the screws, i.e., place the top ones the same distance from the top od the board and do the same for the bottom ones, etc.. Now you can center your rack on the board (making sure it is level) and mount it (using the same type screws, 3/4 inch ones should be enough) securely to the board without having to worry that it will fall off the wall when weight is added. Answer:	Yes it can be trimmed. You will have to trim both ends for your desired length. Then drill matching holes in all six wooden strips. If you think you are handy enough to do this, then I would not hesitate purchasing this shelf. I love mine.
Question:	What is the length between the supports? I'm trying to find something that will work around a window, which is 32" wide
Answer:	You can install the supports anywhere on the wooden slats. They are 36 inches wide. The longest pan hangs down 22" from wood on my rack. I get lots of compliments on this rack. I love having more cabinet space now. When all your pans/pots are hanging, not sure if you will be able to see out the window. Especially if they have long handles. Something to consider on your placement.
Question:	Would it be possible to mount across a 34.5" window? I know the shelf is 36" across, but what's the space between the the screw holes
Answer:	The shelf itself is 36" wide, and the mounting brackets can be used generally anywhere inside that space, but on both ends there is a thin metal rod that runs length wise to hold all the panels of the shelf together, those rods are 1 inch in on both sides, which means the space available for you to use for the mounting brackets is a little less than 34" total. Hopefully that info will help you figure out if you can mount it around that window like you want, but I'm guessing it won't fit well.

Answer:	This rack has been hanging on my wall since May 2014, I bought the extra 4 hooks and have a total of 8 (copper) pans and pots of various sizes hanging on it and 4 more are on loaded top of the rack. Still very solid, but I also was lucky enough to find the studs to fit it onto.

Question:	What is the weight it will hold
Answer:	It is a very rigid and adequate size of steel. The weight it will bear depends on the mounting system. I put the two bottom lag screws securely into the wall studs (the holes are on 16 inch centers) and attached the support to the bottom of my cabinet after cutting it off. If you use as designed get a drywall anchor rated for about 40 lbs. I can hang from mine as it is and I'm 180 lbs.
Question:	How far apart are the screw holes
Answer:	16 inches.
Question:	Has anyone tried to hang 12 pcs on this? Did it fit, does it look like that's too many
Answer:	It all depends on how heavy and big the pieces are. I used a 250 lb anchor to make sure this would not pull away from the wall. 12 pieces may be a little too much unless the are smaller and flat. I have 6 pieces on there now and it is pretty much full.

Answer:	holes in the curved D ring that go against the wall are 16 in on center, the full length of the part that goes against the wall is 24 inches wide.The outermost curve of the D ring is 11 inches from the wall where the support attaches to the D ring there. The support bar that attaches to the D ring goes from the D ring up the wall needs 12.5 inches, although the bar itself is a longer / 13 inches of straight bar with curved 2 inch flat surfaces for attachment point on the bracket and the wall. The total length of the support bar if flattened out would be a 17 bar of steel. the width of all steel bars being equal are 1 7/8 and somewhere around 1/8 in thick. Stiff metal, no real flex.

Step 1

Attach the 2 supporting bars to shelves with assembly screws.

Step 2

Place the rack against the wall and mark the hole position. Drill holes in marked locations and press in the anchor. Insert the long screws until 3/4.

Step 3

Hang the rack on the wall by the 4 screws. Fully tighten all screws, make sure the rack mount firmly on the wall. Hang the hooks and enjoy your rack.

Answer:	It is not adjustable.
Question:	How much weigh can each rail hold
Answer:	The unit itself is pretty sturdy. I have it mounted into wooden cabinets and have eight copper bottom pots hanging from it. I think the weight might actually depend on whether you put the screws through wood or into drywall. I don’t think I would hang eight cast-iron skillets but my Revereware pots are solid and the unit has no problem with them .
