Answer:	Yes you need a separate closure, depending on what you are using the bags for. I use twisty ties, which you can buy in bulk, but you can also re-purpose some from your loaves of bread. I also use these as small garbage bags like for spent coffee grounds or anything that may be liquid that I don't want to poor down the sink because they don't leak. In that case, sometimes I just leave enough space and tie it in a knot.
