Question:	Can you bake cookies and cakes with this? Is there a temperature control for 350? Or is it just got very high heat
Answer:	Possible, but may require some work. This grill is not designed to be an oven -- the door must be open in the down position when in use. This grill is essentially a very hot broiler. As such, it may or may not be possible to bake cookies if they are placed on a lower shelf and they are baked by the heat generated above. The heat on this grill is adjustable and one can use a lower shelf for a lower heat level. However, the gas control does not have temperature numbers, so precise heat is only possible thru trial and error and with a thermometer.
Question:	What are the dimensions of the grill grate and griddle on the xl model
Answer:	The grill grate is 13 x 10. The cast iron griddle is 13.5 x 10, but it has a rim so the usable surface is a bit smaller. Please note that my unit arrived with a defective ignitor. Customer support is non-existent or closed due to Covid. Very disappointing

Answer:	Yes the rule if a magnet will stick to the bottom it is induction ready I have only used mine on my induction cooktop.
Question:	Anyone with experience cooking salmon? Suggestions? Recipies? (I don't like highly-seasoned foods
Answer:	1. season your salmon with some oil seasoning paste (oil + seasoning+ salt+ other spices of your choice). Let rest for 10-15 mins for the oil seasoning paste to be absorbed into the fish. If you don't like highly-seasoned foods, then make sure you buy good quality salmon, and you can just season it with some salt and a thin layer of oil, then adding some fresh lemon juice before serving. If you want to skip the oil too, then you need the part of the salmon that has more fat)2. Heat the pan until very very very hot, you don't need to put oil into the pan.3. Use medium high heat. Put the fish with the side you want to present on the plate DOWN. Seal for 2-4 mins depending on the thickness of your salmon.4. Flip the fish when you see the meat is almost half way cooked (you will notice the cooked part has a slightly different color)5. Turn OFF the heat or turn the heat down to low, because the heat from the pan will cook the meat for you and this process will prevent from over-cooking your fish.6. Cook for about 2 to 3 mins or until you see the color of the fish meat is slightly pinkish and when you press the fish with your finger the meat will not bounce back.7. Serve with some freshly cut lemon wedges, the squeeze the lemon juice on the fish before eating.
Question:	The best way to clean a cast iron grill pan
Answer:	Cast iron cookware is my favorite! I usually just rinse with hot water and use a mild scrubber on mine. After some time, however, my cast iron gets buildup on the sides - I put the pans in the self-cleaning oven and they come out like new. They do have to be re-seasoned but that doesn't take much effort. I'm sure it would work fine on this ridged pan that is sure to be more difficult to clean.
Question:	how does this compare with the much more expensive enamel coated version? and why
Answer:	Much better. I have this Lodge and the LC enamel version. Trust me on this - never buy this style pan with enamel coating. Grill type pans are more difficult to clean because of the ridges, nooks & crannies. Because cast iron seasons better and becomes more non-stick than enamel, it is MUCH easier to clean with use. My LC is in the garage awaiting disposal. I love LC, but their grill pans should be avoided.

Answer:	This pan isn't really designed to be used with a lid. Since most of the items you would prepare in this pan would be simulating the use of a grill, I guess your main concern would be grease or oil splattering. If this is your concern, you would probably want to use a mesh splatter guard. Amazon sells numerous Splatter Screens. You would probably want one at least 12", square if you can find one.. But they aren't cheap. The Judge 29 x 29cm (about 12" Square) Splatter Screen Guard is the right size, but nearly $50.00.

Question:	How many chicken breasts will fit on this grill at one time
Answer:	I can fit two big chicken breasts easily.....three if they're just a medium size. The grill is set up with 3/4 of it as open grill and the other 1/4 is closed grill. I stay on the open grill area mostly and use the solid part for veggies or small shrimp. I like this grill and hope you do too.
Question:	Did I read the reviews correctly? The lid is NOT a heating element? So it's essentially a skillet with a lid
Answer:	As others have said its a grill. Although the 1400W heating element gets pretty hot, its not quite as hot as gas or charcoal. That's where a lid comes in....the lid helps hold in heat as well as smoke, helping to raise the temp. further.

Answer:	I have not had a problem with smoke from the grill. It smokes a little but nothing significant. Again, I love this product and use it all the time.
