Question:	can I stack the pots
Answer:	They are very hard to stack because of their lids. The lids do fit nice and tight on each pan BUT when you flip it upside down to have the handle out of the way, for a nice flat surface to stack, the lid slides off causing a tumble. We stack the pots and pans only (no lids) and place the lids on the side. It's not space friendly but they didn't compromise on these for storing ease..... Wish we could of had both
Question:	Why are mine yes-stick and black after the first use? I have been boiling them with dish washer to see if i can remove the stains with no luck at all
Answer:	The blackness is charred glazing from whatever your cooking. To prevent or minimize, heat the pan slowly with low heat and a little oil. For cleaning, Bar Keepers Friend is great. Other things you might have on hand are cream of tartar, and or vinegar. My personal favorite is using wine while the pan is still hot. Wine is an excellent deglazing tool, and depending on what you’re cooking can add flavor, if done while the food is still in the pan. Happy cooking!

Answer:	UPDATE: Comparing Cuisinart, Tramontina and Cooks Standard triply clad stainless steel cookware. In checking further professional reviews, I realised that there were a couple of errors in the information in my original review, below. Tramontina is manufactured in both Brazil and China. The triply clad cookware is ALL triply clad stainless. Another model is their gourmet prima, which looks very similar, but has only the triply base. Tramontina tested out positively against both Cuisinart and Cooks Standard in three cases, and both its triply and prima models beat out Cuisinart altogether. Cooks Standard was not a contender in the latter review. The main selling point for Tramontina over Cuisinart and Cooks Standard is quality, design and efficiency. Cuisinart and Cooks Standard both have flared rims, making pouring better. Cooks Standard is thought to lack beauty. However Cuisinart’s handles are poorly designed, stay too hot and have a point which can cut into the hand. Tramontina triply only offers the flared rims on its skillets. Their Prima model offers it throughout. Regardless of that drawback, Tramontina is consitldered a superior product in the three areas tested. In view of these clarifications and additional information, I have since decided to purchase the Tramontina cookware, over the Cuisinart. I do apologize for the original review errors, and hope that this additional information is as helpful to other buyers as it has been for me! baj
Question:	Will it work on induction cooktops
Answer:	Stainless, cast iron and enameled cookware generally ok. Some cladded pans as well. Goodwill got all my old aluminium. Be cautious of sizes of the bottom of the pan. My LG induction top has three sizes and too big or too small just will not turn burner on. Perhaps as it should be, I guess. But check your cooktop's manual for any word on pan sizes.

Question:	Are the skillets non-stick
Answer:	They're not the "non-stick" like Teflon. In fact, when I first got them, I was afraid they'd be difficult to clean. Not so! Hardly anything sticks. If it does (I still haven't mastered making omelets in the frying pans), a quick soak in soapy water followed by a good hand washing cleans them right up! I'd take these over the more "traditional" non-stick any day. No worries about chemicals leaching out of a treated surface into the food since it's simply metal. Hope this helps!
Question:	I see that they sell the 10 in pan separately along with a lid. Does one of the pot lids from the set fit the 10 in pan
Answer:	The set, came with 3 sauce pans with lids, 2 fry pans and a Dutch oven with a lid. The largest lid fits the Dutch oven but does NOT fit the larger fry pan. Because of the flare of the sides of the fry pan, the inside diameter is 10-1/4" while the straight-sided Dutch oven inside diameter is 9-1/2". I hope this helps you.

Answer:	In my experience, it depends on how high you're cooking. At normal general temps, the handles on the pots and pans themselves are generally not too hot to the touch, but if you cook with the lids on the whole time, the lid handles will need to be removed using a potholder.

Answer:	1 lid (the largest) fits on the two biggest frying pans but the smaller lids don't fit on the small frying pans .

The video associated with this product listing is also inaccurate. It shows a different 17 piece set with different items. Answer:	I believe that is right. I have had mine for approx 6 months now so not sure how accurate that is. I love these pans.

Answer:	I have a glass cook top and they do just fine. I haven’t had trouble with the lids- there is one that will fit each pot. Not one for each pot but one that will fit the pots in the set.

Answer:	They clean so easily, we don't put them in the dishwasher. I've read mixed reviews as to dishwasher results, so we just don't do it.

Question:	are the lids really manufactured overseas? i thought all-clad was now having all components manufactured in the US
Answer:	I got referred this because I have the Cuisinart GG-12 set, which is the ceramic coated non-stick version. The ceramic coating does not permit odors to develop as it is impervious.For the teflon/polymer coatings you could try wiping the surfaces down with hydrogen peroxide. If there is decaying food stuck in the surface coating the peroxide will oxidize and destroy the foreign material. If the odor is due to over heating - and usually you can tell because the surface becomes powdery, you are out of luck - all you can do is toss the pan because if you continue to cook with it you will be eating the coating.If you are considering a new set, I cannot rate the ceramic coated pots high enough. My daughter forgot to soak the pot she made mac & cheese in, and I found it the next morning after it had dried. When I pulled out the wooden spoon that had dried in the sauce, the entire coating on the pot came off in one piece. Clean-up turned out to be wiping it down with a soapy sponge and rinsing.

Answer:	Yes, the coating is a ceramic and is free of heavy metals such as cadmium.I've had my set for a year now and except for the nuisance of not being dishwasher safe, they are quite nice. Dried Mac & Cheese wipes right off.If you need a set that is dishwasher safe, I recommend the Henkle Zwilling Spirit cookware. I have the 10 piece set, plus a couple of extra skillets and pots. It is dishwasher safe.

Answer:	Yes, this product is Teflon free, I checked when I bought it as a gift. The way to can tell is that is says that it is "PTFE/PFOA-free" and, according to Wikipedia: "Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a synthetic fluoropolymer of tetrafluoroethylene that has numerous applications. The best known brand name of PTFE is Teflon by DuPont Co." Hope this helps.
Question:	Is this 18/10 stainless, 304 surgical stainless, or 316 surgical stainless
Answer:	We bought the Cuisinart 10" saute pan 8 or 10 months ago, but I do think I read from the info that came with the pan that they claimed the coating was lead and cadmium free. Really like this pan -- it is "non-stick" if you season it and treat it right.
