User questions & answers
Question: | Are they sturdy or heavy? I personally like heavy cookwares. Do the handles get hot |
Answer: | The handle doesn't get hot. The skillet seems durable, but is not heavy. |
Question: | Can it be used on a gas grill on medium high heat? We plan on frying fish outside |
Answer: | A little information guide for the user was included. Among other things, it says not to use butter or olive oil because they smoke at a lower temperature. They recommend canola, Safflower, peanut and palm oils. Now I will quote. "Alllow the oil/butter to heat up in the pan before adding food to the cookware. DO NOT rush the preheating process by using high heat. Because of the excellent heat conductivity of your OXO cookware, food and oil can carbonize very rapidly. Always cook on low to medium heat and only use high heat for boiling liquids. Use medium-high heat for searing, sauteing, stir-frying and reducing liquids. Use low heat to warm foods, simmer or for preparing delicate sauces. DO NOT use any typeof oil sprays, including aerosols, mist and pump sprays. These sprays can cause residue build-up that is difficult to remove from all types of cookware. Always distribute the oil evenly onto the surface of the cookware. Use the 'butter test' to determine whether your OXO cookware is hot enough--simply wipe a dab of butter on the bottom of the cookware. If it bubbles briskly without burning, your OXO cookware is perfectly preheated."I myself have only used it to make pancakes. I also disobeyed instructions by using a metal spatula. It was fine for the pancakes, and I don't think I scratched the surface, but that is something else they warn against. |
Question: | Is the bottom of this griddle completely flat? Are there any problems with warping |
Answer: | No warping yet. I'm very happy with this griddle. I use it on a electric flat-top and haven't had any problems. |
Question: | There are varying lists of the items included, even in the product description. Could someone please give a definitive list |
Answer: | Set includes 8" Open Fry pan, 10" Open Fry pan, 1 Quart Covered Saucepan, 2 Quart Covered Saucepan, 3 Quart/9.5" Covered Skillet, 3 Quart Dutch Oven, and 6 Quart Covered Stockpot. |

Question: | Where is oxo made? is it manufactured in the usa |
Answer: | Unfortunately I have yet to know of one pillow that works best for anyone using a CPap mask. However a close friend that uses a Cpap mask bought this exact pillow, it seems to working well for him. He left us a 5 star review on Google. Other reviewer's that use a CPap mentioned they like the support it provides. Of course everyone's needs and ideal support level are different. I hopes this helps. Patrick Affordable Bedding |

User questions & answers
Question: | is there a lid available for this 12 inch skillet |
Answer: | The lid for my 10" Lodge cast iron fits perfectly. It measures 12" in diameter. |
Question: | Is the grill pan high enough to cook hamburgers |
Answer: | Yes, absolutely. |
Question: | how deep is the pan |
Answer: | The stated dimensions are: 19.72 x 12.2 x 3.22 in So why does this respondent report that the pan is only about 1.5" deep? That's less than half as deep as the manufacturer states. |
Question: | Is the silicone handle the only difference between this pan and the "pro"? Is that why it can't handle the higher oven temp. of the "pro" pan |
Answer: | my guess would be that the metal handle would take a higher oven temp. I have other frypans with metal handles that do, but my oxo pan is rated at 495 degrees and my oven only goes to 500 so I don't worry about it. |
