Question:	Are these items dishwasher safe
Answer:	The Question is a good one and the answer from "diversityrox" in incorrect. The product is dishwasher safe ... I have had mine for over a years use it three time a week, wife puts in the dishwasher and it comes out looking like new on the cooking area.. The bottom is as with any cookware showing burnt marks but no damage whatsoever... I cook in the oven and on top of the grill (under 450 degrees) absolutely nothing turns out bad... Bottom line: These product and ones like it are insanely good, easy to clean and look great day in and day out... Any buyer will be pleasantly Wowed by this product. Money well spent. end of story
Question:	Can I mash potatoes in the kettle
Answer:	Yes. However, I did trade all my metal utensils in for silicon ones. Although I can say I have mashed potatoes in this without issue (using my silicon hand masher) , I can not say if the pot would have been damaged had I tried with a steel and/or power mixer.

Answer:	Gotham steel cookware is amazing. It is lightweight like aluminum, but it cooks like cast iron. Actually I have used the two kinds of pans side by side, Gotham steel gave a better finish to the fried chicken. It makes the best oven meals. Best of all it cleans easily and can be put in the dishwasher.

Question:	can I stack the pots
Answer:	They are very hard to stack because of their lids. The lids do fit nice and tight on each pan BUT when you flip it upside down to have the handle out of the way, for a nice flat surface to stack, the lid slides off causing a tumble. We stack the pots and pans only (no lids) and place the lids on the side. It's not space friendly but they didn't compromise on these for storing ease..... Wish we could of had both
Question:	Why are mine yes-stick and black after the first use? I have been boiling them with dish washer to see if i can remove the stains with no luck at all
Answer:	The blackness is charred glazing from whatever your cooking. To prevent or minimize, heat the pan slowly with low heat and a little oil. For cleaning, Bar Keepers Friend is great. Other things you might have on hand are cream of tartar, and or vinegar. My personal favorite is using wine while the pan is still hot. Wine is an excellent deglazing tool, and depending on what you’re cooking can add flavor, if done while the food is still in the pan. Happy cooking!
Question:	Have any of you considered the multi-ply set from Cooks Standard and Tramontina? If so, what made you choose Cuisinart? I'm having trouble deciding
Answer:	UPDATE: Comparing Cuisinart, Tramontina and Cooks Standard triply clad stainless steel cookware. In checking further professional reviews, I realised that there were a couple of errors in the information in my original review, below. Tramontina is manufactured in both Brazil and China. The triply clad cookware is ALL triply clad stainless. Another model is their gourmet prima, which looks very similar, but has only the triply base. Tramontina tested out positively against both Cuisinart and Cooks Standard in three cases, and both its triply and prima models beat out Cuisinart altogether. Cooks Standard was not a contender in the latter review. The main selling point for Tramontina over Cuisinart and Cooks Standard is quality, design and efficiency. Cuisinart and Cooks Standard both have flared rims, making pouring better. Cooks Standard is thought to lack beauty. However Cuisinart’s handles are poorly designed, stay too hot and have a point which can cut into the hand. Tramontina triply only offers the flared rims on its skillets. Their Prima model offers it throughout. Regardless of that drawback, Tramontina is consitldered a superior product in the three areas tested. In view of these clarifications and additional information, I have since decided to purchase the Tramontina cookware, over the Cuisinart. I do apologize for the original review errors, and hope that this additional information is as helpful to other buyers as it has been for me! baj
Question:	Will it work on induction cooktops
Answer:	Stainless, cast iron and enameled cookware generally ok. Some cladded pans as well. Goodwill got all my old aluminium. Be cautious of sizes of the bottom of the pan. My LG induction top has three sizes and too big or too small just will not turn burner on. Perhaps as it should be, I guess. But check your cooktop's manual for any word on pan sizes.

Answer:	I do believe that the non bonded parts of All-Clad are made in China. Not 100% certain, since I bought my cookware over 5 years ago, but that is what I hear now.

Answer:	the consensus answer I have found online is that copper core is NOT worth paying extra for. the all clad line with best temperature performance is actually the MC2, but the regular, 3 layer sandwich of SS around aluminum is the all-around winner because it is versatile (i.e. induction capable) and dishwasher safe, unlike MC2. started searching because I was contemplating purchase of a calphalon accucore set that was "deal of the day". learned the most at centurylife.org in an article about "is all-clad worth it". the answer was yes for the d3 all-clad but not for copper core.

Answer:	In all of my research before purchasing my All-Clad I have not come across the use of 304 or 316 surgical stainless, only 18/10. The Tri-ply cookware line that I have purchased (from Amazon and elsewhere) features a 3-ply design, 18/10 steel cooking surfaces, aluminum cores for the even heating, and the highly polished exterior 18/0 stainless for lasting beauty and induction compatibility. Answer:	I have a set of Revere Ware stainless steel, made in Clinton, Illinois and Rome, New York that I purchased in the 70's. I then got some new-fangled, non-stick Teflon. Until it scratched. I learned it then leaks chemicals into my food so I got some stuff that says I can use metal and scrubbies on it. Until it scratched. Chemical leakage again, so I started using more of my USA-made cast iron, seasoned them well, used steel wool (no soap) to clean off stuck-on food, and I got the bonus of added iron in my food. Listening to commercials, I then bought a GREEN frying pan that's guaranteed not to stick. It's ok but did stick and got scratched. Probably chemicals in my food again, as well as a white pan I bought. So I started using my Revere Ware stainless; I don't use soap on the inside unless I absolutely need to, I can soak them, use steel wool, scrape with a metal spatula, use Easy-Off if I really burn stuff on, and it's as good as new! Food rarely sticks and I use little oil to coat the bottom unless a recipe says 1/4 or 1/2 inch or so. I say buy a good brand of stainless with handles that are welded or riveted on, and you'll have them to hand down to your grandkids! I'm 70 and got these when I was 23! They have copper clad bottoms for... I don't know why! I think heat distribution. P.S. I remember they were $89 for 12" & 8" pans, 1-1/2, 2, & 4 qt sauce pans, the larger having a steamer (never knew you put veges in that!) and lids for all. I have picked up oddball pieces in thrift stores, too! Go clean, go stainless!

Answer:	I had them on the glass top range. The range will be just fine but the pots get tiny scratches, but that is just by being stored. I bought mine five years ago and none of the sautee type of pans still work. They all stick now, a lot - I had to just throw two of the most used ones away and I kept only the small pan. The quality you would expect for the price is just not there. :(
