Answer:	Yes, The water stays at one of the three temperatures it has been set.I leave mine on 24/7.

Answer:	Made in Japan. This looks like a new model. The QuikTemp feature is new. It now does not boil the water (212 degrees) every time you add water or unplug it by accident. If you have it set to 195, like I do, it only heats the water to that temperature. Thus not wasting power and time.. I had two of the CV-DSC40 VE models, both of which developed rusting issues up top under the lid. An very expensive disposable appliance. They too were made in Japan so... I am hoping this model does not rust out like the other two did. I have read almost every review of these things and it seems that Zojirushi CS is essentially useless. I just threw the others out after reading many people here say that calling them was almost pointless...But they really are great when they work or are rust free, if you drink a lot of tea or make those Japanese big boy Udon cup (bowl) of noodles. Just a bit pricy...
Question:	what is the inside lining? stainless or plastic
Answer:	All Zojirushi products are BPA-free. The inner container of the water boiler is stainless steel with nonstick coating, the inner lid is stainless steel, and both are BPA-free. Some gaskets and the outer lid that may come into contact with water are silicone or plastic, and also do not contain BPA.
Question:	Does it use a lot of power? Have you noticed a change in your electric bill after using this
Answer:	You most likely won't notice it, but those who want the detail then continue to read. Based on the manual the keep warm mode takes from 11W-20W per hour for the 4L version depending on the keep warm temperature. The 5L version takes about 14W-26W per hour depending on keep warm temperature. When the unit is boiling / reboiling it consumes 840W per hour, however it takes about 35-40 minutes to boil the water from room temperature to full boil. For example: We have the 4L version and we fill it once a day and set it at 175 degrees and allow it to go to a full boil. The approximate power usage is (12W * 24 hours + 840W * 0.58 hours) = ~780W for the entire day (i.e. less than 1KW per day or approximately 24KW for the month). For us 1KW is about 12 cents, so it cost less than $3 per month for us to operate.

Answer:	No, this model requires electricity to dispense water. Zojirushi does make a model, CW-PZC22/30, with an air pump top so you can heat an go.
Question:	do you need to empty this out at night when turning off for the day, or can you reheat the water the next morning
Answer:	The biggest energy demand with this appliance occurs when it brings a tank of cold water up to temperature. Overcoming all that thermal inertia is much harder work than simply replacing the small amount of energy that "leaks" out of the the appliance over time. If your jar pot is sized appropriately for your usage leave it on. If you have too large a unit (is this possible? ; ) or too small a unit, and are concerned about energy consumption, you may want to purchase something more appropriate to your demands. If you are going on a long vacation, you may want to unplug it, but I suggest that you also empty the pot and leave the lid open or off to prevent development of bad tastes, mold, etc.,. We have had our current pot in continuous operation since 2013. It is used heavily, and is never unplugged. About two weeks ago I had to replace the lid seal (readily available from Zo) which took all of five minutes. That is the only maintenance we have needed in approximately 52,560 hours of uninterrupted operation. Not too shabby. Feel free to leave it up and running. No one should have to wait for coffee.

Answer:	Yes, it's BPA free. My husband bought this and is very conscientious when it comes to food safety, lead, aluminum, BPA in plastics, etc. We absolutely LOVE this hot water dispenser! We keep it on our counter, plugged in, and use it every day for 1 cup coffee, tea, oatmeal, etc. IMPORTANT! We only use Reverse Osmosis water in it. Tap water has a lot of mineral deposits which will build up and degrade the product. Our first one lasted over 15 years! Hope this helps!

Answer:	I've had mine for under a year and keep water in it constantly, as I have done with others in the past. There is a very small amount of rust on the bottom starting to show. I am still using it, since it is negligible.

Answer:	My instruction booklet says that it can be cleaned using citric acid, which the company will sell for quite a high price. The procedure, which you should check in the instructions, is to dissolve the citric acid in water, place it in the chamber and then initiate a cleaning cycle by holding down the reboil button for more than 3 seconds. Once the cycle is complete, most of the hard deposits should be dissolved, and you can empty it and then rinse it thoroughly. Answer:	There shouldn't be any water what so ever. The pot was dry when mine came. Unless, what you received was used at one point and the previous owner didn't empty the pot completely before it was returned.

Answer:	Thank you for your question. Yes, when using the 6 Hour Timer, the unit turns off and then 6 hours later the timer will turn off and the water will begin to heat up until it starts to boil. When the water is brought up to boiling temperature, it will then be kept warm at 194 degrees F. Enjoy!
Question:	Did anyone have any rusting issues with this dispenser
Answer:	3 years I have brown, rust looking scale. They are about 1/4" to 1/2" diameter about 5-6 different spots. Always use reverse osmosis water yet the brown scaling still happens. The issue is the tub has some sort of coating so you can't scrub it with abrasive pads to clean the scaling. I'm buying a different brand without any coating, just bare stainless steel.

Answer:	Manual pump. It usually requires one, two or three presses to fill a cup - depending on cup size and how fast you want it filled.

Answer:	I have another Zojirushi model CD-LCC30 for over 4 years and the lid's rubber components are still fine. This particular model was purchased for a gift so I don't know how the lid's rubber components are doing.

Answer:	The main difference between PIF-A30U and PDR-A30U water heater is that PIF-A30U water heater comes with a VE feature where the internal pot is double walled vacuum insulated to stay hot for longer period of time. Everything almost looks the same but the internal structure is a little more advanced with the PIF-A30U!

Answer:	Thank you for your interest in Tiger products. It takes approximately 35 minutes boiling from cold water. The water will go to a boil first and then heat up or cool down to the desired selected temperature options (208F, 194F, 176F) and will continue to maintain that temperature until the unit is turned off or if using the energy saving function, it will engage automatically in 2 hours. As for power consumption it's rated power is 682 W. The power for the warmer is 65 W.
