Question:	Is there any plastic that comes in contact with the water
Answer:	Actually yes. Technically, it is some sort of rubber seal. Between ceramic body and stainless steel heat element, there is very tight gap that has to be sealed by rubber gasket. The contact is very minimum. I just found this after using it for over 4 years.
Question:	Does the glaze contain cadmium or lead
Answer:	By law, to sell in the USA it can't have lead in it, nevertheless it is made in China and Chinese factories have cut corners and sold countless items for animals and humans in the U.S. and Europe that had lead and other poisons in them. During the G. W. Bush years when consumer protection agencies' budgets were slashed and they could not inspect what was coming into the country, banned substances were turning up in toys, dishes, foods, and pet products. Lead and melamine were two biggies. In fact, not only did Chinese factories put melamine in candy and dog food that ended up in the U.S. and Europe (killing pets in the U.S.) but in 2008 they put melamine in milk and baby formula sold in China itself, causing injury and hospitalization for 300,000 people and the deaths of Chinese infants. Answer:	It is almost impossible to have a totally lead-free ceramic. This is why even an illustrious company like Fiesta can only advertise as "lead free" and not "100% lead free" because lead is naturally occurring in the materials we use to make most glazes, and so there will always be some *trace* amount of lead. If it is made in China, there is no way to know for sure if there is lead in it or not. But you can order test strips and test it yourself.

Answer:	no, it is not ceramic all around on the inside. there is a metal heating plate on the bottom.

Answer:	It automatically turns off when it hits the boiling point. The water does not stay at the boiling hot temperature for long; it begins to slowly cool once the heating element turns off. Being ceramic, it holds the heat pretty well, and the water stays warm for about 20 minutes. I absolutely love my Bella electric teapot.

Answer:	Yes, I also found that the inside of the pot doesn't smell good. I didn't notice the smell in the water though. And it felt to me more of like a hot metal smell, not so much of a plastic one. I just checked again just now and I didn't find that the water nor the inside smelled (I have been using it for a few months). But the reviewer is right, there is a seal inside, between the hot metal plate and the ceramic, so maybe one should check what this seal is made of...

Answer:	I haven't owned this in years but I'm pretty sure it's a standard 3.5 mm, stereo, audio jack (male on both ends). It should be in the specs for the unit if you search for specifications online. Check out your model (maybe search for "reviews" of it). There is even a picture of the cable on the Amazon listing; although that cable looks like a mono not a stereo, the written specifications should say stereo -- and it will make a difference.
Question:	Does the boiling water touch plastic while in the kettle
Answer:	I would get my own headphones if you don't have them already to maximize the sound experience, but yea, it pretty much replicates the sound you input unless you only use the mute, which I do sometimes. You can even modify the reverb to make it sound more like a concert stage but I think that's kind of gimmicky.

Answer:	I'd say the only thing that makes this expensive mute worth it is if you already have the studio system, whether it's the new or old version, as the mute is backward compatible. It works well as a practice mute WITH the mic, but without the mic it is hard to hear yourself.

Answer:	PYREX made of borosilicate glass is fine, made to endure thermal shock and is found in any decent lab glassware (beakers, flasks, etc). Pyrex or pyrex made of soda-lime glass is NOT safe for fast temperature change or intense application of heat directly to the glass. Note the capitalized logo and pay attention to whether you're using borosilicate or sode-lime, and be safe out there.

How to remove scale & Clean:

Step①: Fill 0.5L water and a drop of detergent into the kettle, wash the interior of the kettle thoroughly with a sponge and rinse it clean;

Step②: Fill 1.5L water, some vinegar or citric acid into the kettle, boil the water and then discard it;

Step③: Boil a pot of plain water once or twice and discard it to remove any remaining vinegar odor or taste.
