Answer:	I would think so but since I'm not dancing any longer I'm not certain. I can tell you that one generally stays on my bunion for 6 or more days; also that they do tend to scrunch up a little from the bottom of the foot. I suggest you give them a try, they are only around $5-6 for five of them and they are very comfortable.

Answer:	I have this same unit surface mounted on granite. It is mounted directly above a shallow silver-ware drawer. It is about 3 and a half inches above drawer contents with no excessive heat problem. The unit does come with a recommended distance above any contents but I do not recall the exact distance. All parts of heating element are enclosed in a metal box which shields it from direct exposure to anything below. So far no problems at all.

Question:	Is there a way to turn off the sound
Answer:	The wattage rating is 1500 W.
Question:	Does this hold the temperature once the kettle is picked up and then replaced on the base
Answer:	I like the Presto 1500 Watt Wok, model 5900, available on Amazon. Its a 14" diameter stainless steel wok, so you don't have to deal with the delicate non-stick coating. Can use metal implements and clean up is not much harder then "non-stick" ie. best to put water in after using, let it sit for a few minutes on med. heat before washing. Can use a microfiber pad or any other scrubber for stubborn stains (rare). Also you don't need to wash every time....just heat up water in the wok to boiling and then rinse a couple times......heat kills germs! It might not look bright and shiny but its just as safe as a full cleaning.

Answer:	The coating is like Teflon. I only used this twice however because the electric control is very loose where it fits into the wok plus the temperature control is erratic and difficult to set. In the "OFF" position mine was still "ON" and hot.
