Answer:	Yes. Grind, tamp and extract all happen with the push of a button. Whole beans go in the top, little biscuits of compressed, spent grounds are emptied from the bottom. The espresso produced is VERY consistent in volume, strength and flavor - suggesting very consistent preparation by the machine.
Question:	How do you make the water hotter. My coffee is hot.but not real hot. If you add cream it then becomes warm.Is there a button
Answer:	I originally bought a Delonghi Espresso maker, and send it back for another model - the Perfecta, which works fine. (Sorry I don't remember the original model). However, it did not make the water hot enough. The brewer should work at 190 - 205 degrees F. If the coffee is lower in temperature it will not extract the flavor compounds, and it will be cool compared to your regular coffee. The Answer is - Send it back if the measured temperature in the cup is too low, e.g. below 185 F. There is no temperature adjustment.

So even when placed under the kitchen cabinets (moderately deep), the front panel of the machine tends to be further ahead of where the cabinets front portion ends. All the steam produced is right at the front panel (from the spout). Hence, it never really hits the cabinet. Our older drip coffee machine had more steam hitting the cabinets than this.

Answer:	You have to fill the reservoir with water, add coffee to the brew basket and then press the On/Off button. The coffee will begin to brew and the carafe heater will turn on. Make sure you aren't pressing the on/off button that is on the left side of the unit. That is for espresso. The On/off button for coffee is in the front.

Answer:	Not technically but there is a work around. The machine froths the milk before brewing the espresso so simply choose latte or cappuccino, froth the milk, the press the Start/Stop button BEFORE the espresso is brewed. However, since the beans are ground first, you will waste the grounds. A way around this is to choose the ground coffee bypass but simply don't add any grounds. Then proceed to froth the milk. You should still press the Start/Stop button before the coffee is pulled so you don't get any left over grounds water.
Question:	What size tamper does this machine need
Answer:	Can't tell if you're serious or not, but I will answer anyways. The machine will take ground or whole beans so as along as your decaf coffee comes in one of those forms you should be good to go. You can also use orange juice instead of water to compliment your pick for a $800 decaf coffee maker

Answer:	The tank is made of glass. The only issue I had with this coffee maker is that if you live at altitude (anything above about 1500 ft) it won’t work ... it will just boil water and never release it over the grounds.

Question:	From your experience, does this machine produce a nice foam after using it for a while
Answer:	My Friend. There ARE plenty of YouTube videos that actually demonstrate how to use the top hand air pump to double as a milk froather. I haven't tried it myself, yet with just examining each piece of the equipment, looks like it will work. The upper plunger hand air pump will force a jet of pressurized air into the milk that can and does fit in the extra glass tumbler that comes with the kit. So, when you finish with pressing your espresso, then you can portion half the spare glass tumbler, take the plunger pump off the device, submerge the lower tip into the milk and carefully press down the pump to force the jet of air into the milk, making it eventually froath up. One component, double duty, pressurize the hot water chamber to 15-20 bars pressure than forces the hot water through the ground coffee puck, then when detached, press the plunger to force a jet of air to froath up milk in the second glass tumbler to finish making your cappuccino.
Question:	My lattes are cold. What am I doing wrong? The espresso is hot, but when I put the frothed milk in, it chills it. Steam longer and too frothy
Answer:	You fill it with hot water, then pump to pressurize the vessel and push water through the grinds. So the resultant temperature is a function of how hot the water is when you pour it in. Pushing the water through to make espresso is quick once the container is filled so the water does not cool down too much.
Question:	What size tamper do you use with this machine? 51 or 53 mm? It looks like the 58 would be too large
Answer:	The base is made of ABS, a common and inexpensive plastic material (same as used to make the black waste pipes used in homes). If my base cracked, I would either 1) try to get a replacement from the manufacturer under the warranty, 2) repair it with cyanoacrylate glue, or 3) cement it together with ABS glue (available at hardware stores). I recommend keeping it out of the sunlight as much as possible, as it deteriorates under UV light.
Question:	Is the boiler made of aluminum, and does aluminum otherwise come in contact with the water
Answer:	you can use the poder container to press the rubber gasket a little. please don't worry, the rubber gasket was made to keep the filter stay in place, a little dislocation won't influence the coffee you make.

Question:	Can I grind my own beans and use them in this machine
Answer:	Technically, you are only supposed to use Nespresso capsules so the answer is no. With that said, I've seen 3rd parties selling refillable capsules which you can fill with your own coffee - I have not tried these. With all that said, Nespresso has an amazing variety of coffee and coffee brewed in this machine feels gourmet and luxurious!
Question:	How much water to each capsule
Answer:	Each capsule has a barcode and automatically determines the appropriate amount of water needed for each capsule. (Example: 40 ml espresso, 153 ml coffee, and larger sizes as well)

Question:	Which size Tamper should I use if I want to use extra tamper
Answer:	Get a 51-mm tamper.
Question:	How long between shots will I need to wait? Can I use this when entertaining guests
Answer:	Almost immediately; maybe 5 to 10 seconds max. The water in the boiler is already hot, so it only takes seconds to bring the temperature back up after one shot of water is used. By the time you get rid of the puck or used pod and reload the filter, the green temperature light is back on , and you are ready to brew another shot. I do this when making double shots, as getting 2 pods into the filter is difficult and the pump strains to push the water through the extra paper of 2 pods. If you want to brew doubles without having to reload the filter, I recommend using loose grounds, but that's messier than using pods. I prefer the pods, and reloading. Using it for guests should not be a problem.
Question:	Why buy this model vs the BAR 155 or
Answer:	This was terribly complicated to use. You HAD to have the correct cup, which is very, small and nothing I wanted to fool with. Eventually I decided to look for a frother alone to heat milk & make my normal coffee. I LOVE THIS FROTHER. THE NAME IS "Capresso". You can buy at Bed Bath and Beyond or Amazon. Works great!

Answer:	The machine is about 80% stainless steel and the rest silver coloured plastic.

Question:	The information book I received states my machine only makes two serving sizes the info above says three. Will the Alto pods work on this machine
Answer:	They work!! The Alto pods are newer than the info book! Enjoy! I'm addicted to this coffee!
Question:	Are these pods recyclable?? Whats the process
Answer:	The pods are recycled by Nespresso, but you need one of their "free" recycling bags which you get by requesting it from Nespresso, but only when you order a minimum amount of new pods. I don't remember how much the order needs to be. Something around $50. You can recycle them yourself, but they're full of used coffee grounds so you need to open them with a sharp knife and rinse them out. It's not difficult, but it's easier to just get the bags.
Question:	Is this a nespresso machine or delonghi? what do they mean nespresso by delonghi? is this a knock off
Answer:	Nespresson is a company owned by Nescafe. It makes machines for Delonghi, Breville and others like Kitchen Aid.
Question:	How do you get it to not make the gross foam
Answer:	You don’t. The “gross foam” is the crema, a hallmark of espresso style coffee, which is what the Nespresso machines are designed to make. Even in the larger sized cups. It enhances the flavor and the mouthfeel and you can stir it in, if you want. But if that is not the kind of coffee you want, the Nespresso isn’t for you.
