Question:	Can you use K-Cups for this and how
Answer:	As long as you can dump the contents of the K-cup into the little filter. Lots of people claim it is a waste, but we ended up with a case of k-cups that made a brew the wife loved...but they popped 75%+ of the time in the K-cup machine, after we had trouble with the previous case at about 50% pop rate. Now, they make great little sealed containers for use on trips and all you need is a thumbnail to peel off the foil top to get at the coffee.
Question:	What is the tallest mug you can put in there
Answer:	It comes with a 7" tall travel mug that keeps the coffee hot. I checked and that is the tallest - no extra room!

Answer:	You can use any tall coffee cup.

Answer:	Thinking of buying this or another 4 star brand - going with this one - description says use ground coffee or coffee pods (NOT K-CUPS). I have seen these coffee pods in stores, they look like tea bags without the string. The other 4 star brand does not say you can use the pods, but I don't see why not. Black & Decker is a more familiar name to me.

Answer:	Yes, it works with mugs. I use a very tall mug and it still fits with room under the spout. How much water you put in depends on how strong you want your coffee. I use what is a *normal* amount for me i.e., fill my tall mug almost to the top. I use this every day and have not been disappointed.
Question:	Is it easy to clean the filter for the grounds, or do the grounds stick in the mesh? Are there little paper filters that are designed to line it
Answer:	We don't have little paper filters, but the filter for the grounds is very easy to clean. I just wash it with water and it becomes clean in few seconds.
Question:	Can someone please tell me can you make strong coffee with this coffee maker? I purchase a coffee maker that I couldn't taste the coffee at all
Answer:	another way to get stronger coffee is by purchasing a darker roasted coffee. Many of the coffee packages will tell you how strong the coffee is. The more roasted the coffee bean the deeper/stronger the coffee will be. This coffee maker will only brew a maximum of 14 oz. per brew cycle but the coffee ground holder holds 3/4 cup of grounds. I would experiment with different types of roasted beans, amount of water used and amount of ground coffee used at one time to try to get the perfect cup of coffee for your taste.

Answer:	Keurig k-cups are too expensive. I use Folgers or Maxwell House or Wal-Mart pods. They work fine, especially Wal-Mart Pods (Medium-Dark) which only cost 25 cents each if you buy a carton of 100.

Answer:	Yes but if you are only making that cup just use it as a measuring cup when you put in the water to make sure it won't overfill. Also to note unlike most coffee makers this one does not have a pause feature to switch cups as it will just pour out when you remove the cup during brewing before it's done.

Answer:	It is plastic. I am bothered enough by the coffee maker being plastic and this just compounds my "bothers." I suppose the plastic insulates it better but I plan to find a stainless steel (not just on the outside as this is) mug to fit. Question:	What is the difference between the shot, strong, and cappuccino setting? They all seem to do the same thing
Answer:	I had that problem a lot. I finally decided it was because I packed a little too many espresso grounds into it. Reduce that amount just a tad and the handle will more easily slide over to the "right" position. Note: I have also just made the espresso with the handle not completely rotated to proper position. Worked fine. You just want to make sure that the handle won't come off during the brew.
Question:	For lattes/espresso drinks do you need specialty espresso pods or can you use regular coffee pods and just brew like a shot
Answer:	Tamper is 51mm exactly. The guy who said 52mm was guessing, it is 51mm.
Question:	What is the tallest cup you can use? Will a travel mug fit
Answer:	If you have coffee drinkers who are not into espresso- it's a very easy fix. Just make them a Cafe Americano. Make a double shot of espresso, put it into a regular coffee cup, and fill it up with hot water. VOILA! Cafe Americano, which is basically a cup of coffee. My daughter started making these with my espresso machine and now it's the only cup of coffee she wants. It makes a very smooth cup of coffee that is naturally lower in acid due to the steam pressure way of making the espresso. If you want cappuccino or latte, simply use the attached steam frothing wand to steam the milk and then add the shot of espresso. It's a very hand little machine.
Question:	How many bar pressure it has? Does it produxe creama
Answer:	NO, at least not with this machine 1. Not room for appropriate espresso carafe under the spout, nor is there room for certain espresso cups. 2. I don’t trust any company whose literature makes huge mistakes on measurements of their product, such as above in description where it says there is only “66 Centimeters” max space for espresso cup; for the few Americans that don’t know, 66 centimeters is about two feet. The machine is barely over a foot tall, and the measurement they likely meant was 66 millimeters.... huge difference. 3. Have to buy special scaling solution to clean? Every other coffee pot and espresso machine (I’ve owned Almost a dozen) You simply use white vinegar...so I used vinegar on this machine as well, it took six run through of water afterwards to get rid of vinegar smell, which tells me there is too much left over in the internals when the machine is stopped. I’ve never needed to run more than three carafes of water through any espresso machine or coffee pot previously to get rid of all vinegar smell. 4. This machine only makes two shots of espresso at a time, that may be fine for some, but I have sleep apnea, I need at least four shots of espresso in the morning to kickstart my heart; and this machine is a little annoying g to have to do all the work twice to get the right amount of espresso when most home espresso machines are 4 shot machines. 5. Fifteen minute warm up? No other espresso machine I have owned has required a warm up. Put in fine grounds and water and turn it on, come back in about a minute and a half and there is four shots of espresso waiting for me. I have not even “broken in” this machine yet, and likely will have more to say after using it for a couple weeks, and by then maybe the fact that it holds so much water in comparison to what is made each time will warm my heart to this machine... but considering I have to use it twice every morning instead of once to get my required four shots, and have to wait fifteen minutes for it to warm up, I DOUBT it.... I have a feeling this will be in a garage sale soon, just after I go buy another Mister Coffee (which I also gave negative reviews about, but for a small piece that breaks on the machine making it annoying to remove old grounds, but still works and makes four shots at a time). I replaced a three year old Mister Coffee with this machine, I switched to this one because I needed a new machine immediately and so was at the mercy of what was on the shelves at nearest Base Exchange. Now that I have this one to use in the mean time, I will look for a new machine that I like (probably another Mister Coffee or a Krups, I’ve owned both and only had problems with Mister Coffee, but they always work for about three years, making four shots of espresso every morning....

User questions & answers

Question:	Can you just brew water
Answer:	Sure can. Just pretend you put a pod in and use product as usual.. The hot water comes through as usual.
Question:	what size Paper filter
Answer:	It does not use filter paper. It has a reusable "permanent" filter and that is my biggest issue with this machine. The permanent filter allows some fine grounds to pass through and the filter would likely overflow if you added filter paper to it to eliminate this problem. This is true even though I set my coffee mill to a coarser setting, thinking that would eliminate the problem. It helped just a bit. I wish they had included a filter holder, but you could cut out the mesh of the permanent filter and make your own (cut to size) filter paper. I have not tried this yet but may later. Right now I just am careful to not drink the coffee to the bottom of the cup as the sediment is rather nasty. The only other alternative would be to filter the coffee before drinking which seems to make the point of a large cup coffee maker inconvenient rather than 'just right'.
Question:	Can you add milk instead of water in the tank for richer coffee
Answer:	Rather than using milk in the brewer, and risk ruining your coffeemaker, if you like a richer taste, buy a small carton of real whipping cream and add to your coffee after brewing instead. Coffee with real 100% cream versus milk or half and half is truly a gourmet experience, and is zero carbs, so it's keto-friendly as well. A little bit of 100% whipping cream goes a long way in your cup of coffee, so you can adjust the amount as desired. That would be my suggestion to try. :)
Question:	Is the inside where it heats plastic or stainless ? If plastic , are all the plastic parts bpa and pfoa free
Answer:	All plastics in contact with water are BPA free and the net of the coffee filter basket is 304 stainless steel.

DEEP CLEANING FOR COFFEE BREWER

1.Observe four holes of coffee outlet, whether there is any obstruction.

2.Use a paper clip or toothpick to dredge top lid needle on four outlet and water outlet.

3.After dredging,use food grade funnel to fill water into reservoir,add 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup vinegar, press button to clean.

4.After brewing,please add water with vinegar in reservoir for one hour.

5.After one hour,please pour out water.

6.Brew again with fresh water afterwards until no vinegar smell remains.

CLEANING AND MAINTAINCE

1.Please brew water to clean for first use,it can be more effective to extract essence from coffee.

2.Fill reservoir with 4：1 for water and citric acid,press power button to clean machine.

It’s suggested to descale and clean machine every 2 weeks.

3.Please use original coffee capsule.Otherwise,it may cause coffee ground in your mug.

4.Push coffee capsule into right place before closing lid.
