I am super unhappy with this Keurig. I have been a long-time user of Keurig coffee makers, but this one just does not cut the mustard. Unfortunately, because we bought it for our RV, we did not test it in time to meet the NARROW window of return opportunity. What is that about???? The plastic was cheap, the coffee was cold, and the functionality was awkward. We feel duped.
This is an update to the above review following an actual call to Keurig:
Buyers, many companies have teams now-a-days where there job is to watch reviews for negative comments and then respond. The notion is to show others reading them "oh, hey...look, this buyer had a bad experience, but the company was very responsive and is offering to rectify the situation". The reason is multi-pronged. For instance, the company wants to show they "care" as well as that they are doing something about the issue...that they stand behind their product. I decided to actually call due to the real frustration regarding this K15 model Keurig. Well, this is where things crumble regarding Keurig's concern or desire to do something for the buyer of their machines. I was basically told I must be an idiot, a liar, or a thief. The representative was surely trained to respond to customer calls as her answers were very "canned", meaning taught responses and tactfully defensive regarding Keurig's machine quality and how so many other buyers are raving about this machine (why do I care-just a further attempt to belittle me?). Despite my desire to move into a better built model (hopefully), I was told they weren't capable (or is it willing) to allow me to simply return and or exchange this unit and either buy or exchange and pay the difference for another. So, reluctantly, I was made to succumb to the same model replacement. Further, I now have to send back some internal part on my own dime??? Really???? I suppose this is a tactic to keep warranty hounds at bay. Due to the machine issues, I would think that Keurig would want the whole machine back to check what happened on the quality front when engineering it. Instead, they are more interested in ensuring I don' t have the ability to use both machines. HA! I'd be lucky if one works. Thanks, Keurig.

| Answer: | I had that problem a lot. I finally decided it was because I packed a little too many espresso grounds into it. Reduce that amount just a tad and the handle will more easily slide over to the "right" position. Note: I have also just made the espresso with the handle not completely rotated to proper position. Worked fine. You just want to make sure that the handle won't come off during the brew. |

| Answer: | If you have coffee drinkers who are not into espresso- it's a very easy fix. Just make them a Cafe Americano. Make a double shot of espresso, put it into a regular coffee cup, and fill it up with hot water. VOILA! Cafe Americano, which is basically a cup of coffee. My daughter started making these with my espresso machine and now it's the only cup of coffee she wants. It makes a very smooth cup of coffee that is naturally lower in acid due to the steam pressure way of making the espresso. If you want cappuccino or latte, simply use the attached steam frothing wand to steam the milk and then add the shot of espresso. It's a very hand little machine. |

| Answer: | NO, at least not with this machine 1. Not room for appropriate espresso carafe under the spout, nor is there room for certain espresso cups. 2. I don’t trust any company whose literature makes huge mistakes on measurements of their product, such as above in description where it says there is only “66 Centimeters” max space for espresso cup; for the few Americans that don’t know, 66 centimeters is about two feet. The machine is barely over a foot tall, and the measurement they likely meant was 66 millimeters.... huge difference. 3. Have to buy special scaling solution to clean? Every other coffee pot and espresso machine (I’ve owned Almost a dozen) You simply use white vinegar...so I used vinegar on this machine as well, it took six run through of water afterwards to get rid of vinegar smell, which tells me there is too much left over in the internals when the machine is stopped. I’ve never needed to run more than three carafes of water through any espresso machine or coffee pot previously to get rid of all vinegar smell. 4. This machine only makes two shots of espresso at a time, that may be fine for some, but I have sleep apnea, I need at least four shots of espresso in the morning to kickstart my heart; and this machine is a little annoying g to have to do all the work twice to get the right amount of espresso when most home espresso machines are 4 shot machines. 5. Fifteen minute warm up? No other espresso machine I have owned has required a warm up. Put in fine grounds and water and turn it on, come back in about a minute and a half and there is four shots of espresso waiting for me. I have not even “broken in” this machine yet, and likely will have more to say after using it for a couple weeks, and by then maybe the fact that it holds so much water in comparison to what is made each time will warm my heart to this machine... but considering I have to use it twice every morning instead of once to get my required four shots, and have to wait fifteen minutes for it to warm up, I DOUBT it.... I have a feeling this will be in a garage sale soon, just after I go buy another Mister Coffee (which I also gave negative reviews about, but for a small piece that breaks on the machine making it annoying to remove old grounds, but still works and makes four shots at a time). I replaced a three year old Mister Coffee with this machine, I switched to this one because I needed a new machine immediately and so was at the mercy of what was on the shelves at nearest Base Exchange. Now that I have this one to use in the mean time, I will look for a new machine that I like (probably another Mister Coffee or a Krups, I’ve owned both and only had problems with Mister Coffee, but they always work for about three years, making four shots of espresso every morning.... |

| Answer: | First you will need to order the Keurig B150 Direct Water Line Plumb Kit. Beyond that it depends on the water source. I connected mine to the water source on my refrigerator. This is what I needed:"T" type connector to split the water lineAssorted adapters to go from the size of the water line (1/4" or 3/8") to 1/2" for the Keurig direct line kit.Additional connectors to replace the original one that lead to the refrigerator and to connect to the unit.Additional water line (1/4" or 3/8") to go from the "T" to the adapter, and from the "T" back to the refrigerator. I purchased 10 feet to have enough to be able to pull the refrigerator out without putting stress on the line into the wall.I also purchased an inline water filter for the coffee maker (like the ones that go under the sink). I did this to reduce the mineral buildup in the coffee maker. In the long run it is a lot cheaper than replacing the little filters in the maker itself. This did require a little more work and effort to determine where best to place the inline filter but makes a world of difference.All in all I think I spent about $60 dollars on the inline filter, and about $25 dollars on the extra water line, connecters, and fittings. Total time (not including return trips to the hardware store for getting the wrong adapter) was about 60 minutes. About 20 minutes to carefully break down and attach the direct line kit, and about 40 minutes to install the additional water filter and water line work. |

When I ordered multiple B150's from a distributor, I was sent K150's instead. When I typed in the barcode to list them for sale on Amazon, the barcode came up as a B150 and since the same product page is used for multiple sellers, I could not customize it and change it to K150, so if you buy a B150 from me (BarginsForU), you will get a K150. It is just a manufacture # instead of a retail model #. |
