Unit only takes 45 seconds or less to heat up, and I brew one cup only, so I never use Auto On (timer). If this unit is on and warm, it takes about 60 seconds to brew a cup of coffee. Having this brew the coffee before you are up and ready to drink it is a waste of time because it might be cool before you get there. There is no pot and no warmer like in a drip coffee maker. It does not need one. Press to start, butter your toast, drink your HOT coffee. Question:	Not touchscreen? Why the step back
Answer:	It's really not needed. I own a K575, which has a touch screen, and I think that this is much simpler. Plus no touchscreen to dirty up with fingerprints. This machine is simpler, and I believe that's one of its selling points. Should one really need to be choose a wallpaper for the screen of their coffee maker too? On the other hand, if you want to be able to tell the time by looking at your coffee maker, something you can easily do with several of the Keurig 2.0 machines, though the K-Elite has a digital time display, it can only be viewed by looking down on the machine from above. So if that's important to you this machine might not be a good choice.
Question:	Will the k-elite machine accept non-branded (not marked keurig) k-cups, and make coffee using these generic non-branded k-cups
Answer:	Yes! This new Keurig machine is not a "2.0" Keurig. It does not have any DRM to prevent you from using whatever k-cup you desire. This machine is very reminiscent of the older Breville BKC700XL machine, except it provides separate button for each cup size plus it has options for "iced coffee", strong brew, and high-altitude brew.
Question:	What are the differences between K-Elite vs K
Answer:	I own both of he machines you're asking about. Differences are: The K575 is a "Keurig 2.0" machine, so it uses an optical detector to prevent you from using non-licensed k-cups. The K575 has a larger reservoir. The K575 has the ability to us the Keurig carafe, as well as the larger pods (which sounds like an advantage, but good luck finding those larger k-cup pods anywhere except the web). The K575 has a color digital display. The K-Elite has a high-altitude brew setting, is a much simpler machine, and seems to be built rock-solid. Of the two machines, I much prefer the K-Elite. It is smaller and a little more quiet than the K575. Plus without the DRM stuff it's simpler internally. In my opinion it is probably the best Keurig machine for home use built to date. And if you shop around you may be able to buy this unit for as low as $125, much less than I've ever seen the K575.

Answer:	If you only drink coffee clean the machine once a month. If you drink tea run clear water thru the machine after brewing the tea. If you make hot chocolate give the machine a though cleaning after making the chocolate, do not let the machine set without cleaning.

Answer:	Closed, approximately 15 inches at the highest curved point. You will need an additional 3 inches to open the top to insert the cup. I have to scoot mine out from under the cabinet to put the pod in but it fits under just fine until then.
Question:	Can you use "pods" not made by Keurig
Answer:	You can use any brand "K" cups in this coffee maker including the filter cups to use your own grounds. But you cannot use the large "pods". This is just an old fashion Keurig coffee maker that works great.

Answer:	The K-55 Does not come with a filter attachment. My wife purchase the filter attachment (Black) with reminder dial...not compatible. Answer:	Yes, it works with mugs. I use a very tall mug and it still fits with room under the spout. How much water you put in depends on how strong you want your coffee. I use what is a *normal* amount for me i.e., fill my tall mug almost to the top. I use this every day and have not been disappointed.
Question:	Is it easy to clean the filter for the grounds, or do the grounds stick in the mesh? Are there little paper filters that are designed to line it
Answer:	We don't have little paper filters, but the filter for the grounds is very easy to clean. I just wash it with water and it becomes clean in few seconds.
Question:	Can someone please tell me can you make strong coffee with this coffee maker? I purchase a coffee maker that I couldn't taste the coffee at all
Answer:	another way to get stronger coffee is by purchasing a darker roasted coffee. Many of the coffee packages will tell you how strong the coffee is. The more roasted the coffee bean the deeper/stronger the coffee will be. This coffee maker will only brew a maximum of 14 oz. per brew cycle but the coffee ground holder holds 3/4 cup of grounds. I would experiment with different types of roasted beans, amount of water used and amount of ground coffee used at one time to try to get the perfect cup of coffee for your taste.

Answer:	Keurig k-cups are too expensive. I use Folgers or Maxwell House or Wal-Mart pods. They work fine, especially Wal-Mart Pods (Medium-Dark) which only cost 25 cents each if you buy a carton of 100.

Answer:	You can maked regular brew or tap "strong" button for a stronger robust flavor. I used strong for celestial teas and hot cocoa. Mini plus will brew 6 to 12 ounces at a time.

Answer:	My sister has an Nespresso machine and I think their pods are smaller in diameter so I don’t think it would work.

Answer:	The diameter of the K pod holder ring is 6 inches and it measures 2 inches diagonaly.

Answer:	Don't know exact weight but will tell you it is bottom heavy. It is weighted in the bottom to make rotating it simple so I don't think staying on the counter would be a problem for you.

Answer:	I found a fully loaded carousel to be easy to lift. It did not seem "tippy" to me. Whether it will fit in a cupboard depends on the height of the shelf.
