Answer:	Hot water for the inside sticker, however the outside sticker still hangs on the bottom.

Answer:	across the flat base it's 4 1/2"s. Across the top to the outside of the lips it's 10"s and across the top inside the lip it's 9"s. inside from the bottom to the top it's 4 1/4"s. I don't know where they are made, I assume it's not here but these are sturdy and very good bowls. I use them alot. I've a 3 and 5 quart. I needed something to put over a pan of simmering water for a double boiler. I was using pyrex bowls but they took a long time to come up to temperature. This 3 quart works excellent for that use. Again, they are sturdy, good sized and useful.
