Answer:	Hopefully, this might help you. You are correct, cross bar is part of the frame that the top is attached to. I have no idea what the c-clamp you are referring to looks like. What I can tell you is that the cross bar is located 2.5" from the edge of the top. I presume the manufacturer placed the cross bar away from the edge so clamps could be mounted but not sure if the clamp you are referring to would fit on the 2.5"? As a side note, I really like my desk. Has tons of room on the top and is very sturdy! Good luck!

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.Fill the lower pot with fresh water and do not exceed the safety valve.

2.Pour the ground coffee powder into the filter bowl and flatten it with a coffee powder scoop.

3.Place the upper pot on the lower pot and properly tighten the beautiful and elegant thread.

4.Place the mocha pot on a gas lighter, alcohol stove or induction cooker.

5.When there is water boiling, use a small fire to cook, wait a little 2 minutes or so, remove the mocha pot from the fire source, so that the brewed coffee is very fragrant.

Question:	Got the percolator and replacement glass top but have to re-learn exactly how much coffee to use for this perfect percolator
Answer:	1 max loaded teaspoon per cup + 1 teaspoon for the pot. Now you have to define the volume of your "cup.". Some coffee lots state 6 oz is a " cup. ". This is dinky. My volume "cup" is a good size mug, about 10-12 oz.I I also wad up a piece of aluminum foil and jam it into the pouring spout ( I have an 8 and 12 cup stove top percolator: Farberware Yosemite). I use enough aluminum foil to have a "handle" I can grab to remove before pouring. What is the purpose for my aluminum foil spout plug? It greatly reduces vapor loss during percolating. You may START with 3-4 mugs of water, but if you forget about the coffee pot, you will quickly boil off a mug of water and change the flavor/strength. Set a simple timer for 6-8 minutes of percolation time, or about 16-18 total minutes from the time you apply heat. For coffee? I like Maxwell House Columbian. Tried many other brands, and "high end" designer / coffee snob beans. I keep coming back to Maxwell House Columbian. I have stopped searching for coffee.

Answer:	We live on our yacht. I brew a full pot about every three days. I replace what is served with hot, boiling water directly into the basket to extend the grounds as I start with a full basket of an extra dark, gourmet blend. I leave the basket in with the grounds as when the brew has cooled and one desires a cup of coffee, we heat in the microwave. Also, if you add a scant amount of salt to the fresh grounds before you brew a pot of coffee, the brew does not turn acidic, an old restaurant trick! I love our percolator!

Answer:	I just bought this to replace my electric percolator. I saw that many people had answered this question positively. I checked the Yosemite bottom with a magnet and the magnet did not stick but never-the-less it still worked on my Duxtop Induction cooktop. The manufacturer says the bottom was 18/0 stainless which is suitable for induction which is, I'm sure, why it works. I tested it against my regular glass top electric range top the water boiled about twice as fast on the induction cooktop. My method ended up being to set the induction cooktop to high until the water boils then turn down the power to 2 (500W, 180 degrees F) and let perc for 6-7 mins. Worked like a charm.

Question:	Does this turn on/off through Alexa ? Is it possible
Answer:	No. The power switch is on the side of the device, and it isn't communique possible. It needs to be pressed each time it's powered off to activate it. Merely using a smart plug won't work well enough, as just giving power to the cord isn't enough to turn it on. It still needs the power switch activated to turn on.
Question:	Does it accept typical round pods
Answer:	yes, it uses standard K-cups that you can buy anywhere. But there's an added bonus; the reusable plastic coffee holder and mesh wire basket. I like fresh ground coffee without the coloring the add to the K-cups. So I grind my own coffee and fill the little wire mesh basket about 3/4 full (a little over 2 tablespoons of ground coffee) and brew a 10 oz cup. It is WONDERFUL and using your own ground coffee is less that half of the cost of buying K-cup pods.

Answer:	: just received this coffee maker 1/7/2020. YES, it is very loud when brewing, wakes my husband up. My previous machine, a Keurig K250, never made this loud of a noise, even after having it over 6 years. That being said, I do like the machine so far. Was easy to program/set up. I have contacted Cuisinart, after numerous suggestions from them to fix the problem, they are sending a replacement and I am returning this one at no expense to me.

Question:	How do I know if my new pot is still made by farberware, or if is a newer version farberware made by black and decker
Answer:	I had my last Farberware pot for a good eight+ years . . .I see absolutely no difference in my new one. It feels as every bit as solid and heavy as my last one. I'm sorry that it has to be made in China, but it is one of the few reasonably priced ALL STAINLESS STEEL perculators you can buy and I will buy the Farberware one (in 8+ years, I hope) again. I looked at "stainless" perculators at Bed, Bath and read the info on the box, which revealed that only the basket was stainless steel. Put it back on the shelf.
Question:	How many ounces does the 2-4 cup Faberware percolator hold
Answer:	I purchased the 8 cup Farberware coffee pot and it holds about 54 ounces. I'm not so sure about the 2-4 cup coffee pot. I do highly recommend the 8 cup pot, however...because you can still use it to make less cups but then if needed, you also can make 8 cups.
Question:	Is the basket stainless steel as well? Do you need paper filters or will the basket work without it
Answer:	The baskets are stainless steel and you do not need paper filters if you grind the coffee for a percolator. We buy our coffee at Costco and use the machine in the store and set it to "13 Percolator". The basket is specially designed to not need a filter if the coffee grind is correct.
Question:	where is product made
Answer:	Another note. This pot is not made by Farberware, as they no longer make coffee pots. They just sell there names to the Chinese makers. It is not half the quality of the old Farberware one I have. which is too big for every day use. Also after having this a year it stopped keeping the coffee warm and actually perks it again and again. So if you don't take the grinds out fast enough it keeps re-perking and your coffee gets stronger. In any case it still boils your coffee instead of just keeping it warm as it should. I only purchased it because I was stuck. There are not many perk pots on the market any longer. If it was possible I would not purchase it again. but as I said when I purchased it because there wasn't much of a selection out there. It's about time for a new one, so soon I'll have to start looking. I have had this one about 6 years.

Question:	Is there any plastic at all, in contact with the tea water
Answer:	It seems there are 2 places... One down the handle - there is what seems to be a piece of white plastic cover what may cover internally screw that holds bottom of handle, and the other next to nuzzle, a piece around filter that water gets poured outside - the same design I found in my Costco's Hamilton Beach. I'd still consider it a 'minimal impact'(or marginal)... Keep also in mind there are plastics out there with no ''carcinogenic impact'' when in contact with water... It could be down there some kind of silicon as well as can't reach down there. The upper one above the filter that seats in nozzle is very slim. I'd not worry about them anyway for this amount exposed. (if you think cancer stuff. For durability, I bet it's just fine - minimum amount (.01%??)...
Question:	Have you had a problem with the lettering disappearing from the temperature control and start buttons? I was very disappointed to see this happen after only a few months
Answer:	After reading about this issue of the lettering disappearing, when we got our's we put clear tape over each button to keep that protected. We've had the kettle for a year now and still looks like new. We wish we didn't have to do that. All Cuisinart would have to do is scribe the letters in or counter sync the letters and fill with black. The problem would be fixed easy. Another thing you could do if you have a label maker is make labels. Other than that, we use it constantly. We love it!

Answer:	Not near as noisy as others I've used/heard. It brings the water up to the selected temperature pretty quickly, which also reduces the noise. At first, the noise is very low, then it gets louder as the water gets closer to temperature. I just filled it to max with cold filtered water and it took about 5 minutes to hit 200 degrees and only about 3 of that was "noisy," but I could still have a phone conversation a few feet away with no issues.

Answer:	I found this to be the best method for filtration and eliminating grounds in the pot. 1) Use 12 cup basket filters. 2) Wet the inside bottom of the basket and run water through the percolator stem. 3) Center paper filter over basket stem and punch wet percolator stem down through filter and hole in basket stem. 4) Push filter to bottom of wet basket to adhere. 5) Drizzle water from tap along sides of paper filter/basket and press ruffled paper to flatten against the wet sides of basket. 6) Add desired amount of coffee and start brewing. I've never had a problem with grounds in my coffee since... enjoy!

Answer:	Grew up on perked coffee in the 70's before ADC (auto drip coffeemakers). Every store shelf coffee was with a bigger grind of coffee back then for the percolaters. Everything now is switched over to ADC coffee grounds. Too small a grind. Leaves coffee grounds in the perked coffee. Need a bigger grind. Let's e-mail coffee companies to make percolator size grounds again. Maxwell House used to be the standard. Answer:	It's hard to belief the questions asked these days. I have had this coffee maker since 1994, that's 25-26 years when it was still built in USA, burning your hand and I have big hands isn't an issue unless you have hands like a gorilla. I take the guts out (quickly) right after perking and don't burn my fingers. The pot has three major parts, a thermal switch that starts and stops the perking, a big perk element for brewing and a keep warm element to keep coffee warm after brewing. My keep warm element burned out about 5 years ago so coffee slowly cools off till pot's predetermined temperature trips it to perk again. That's why I take the guts out of ours after perking.
Question:	My old 12cup Fabwrware electric percolator had two prong plug. Does this newer model have a three prong plug? I use a timer for my present 8 cup with 3 prong
Answer:	if you like strong coffee, heaping tablespoon per 2 cups. Courser grind for a little weaker. I suggest to use a flat filter on the bottom if using fine grind unless you don't care about frit in your mouth. The last 3 I bought broke within a year each so enjoy it. The quality has disappeared since made in china

DEEP CLEANING FOR COFFEE BREWER
