Question:	Got the percolator and replacement glass top but have to re-learn exactly how much coffee to use for this perfect percolator
Answer:	1 max loaded teaspoon per cup + 1 teaspoon for the pot. Now you have to define the volume of your "cup.". Some coffee lots state 6 oz is a " cup. ". This is dinky. My volume "cup" is a good size mug, about 10-12 oz.I I also wad up a piece of aluminum foil and jam it into the pouring spout ( I have an 8 and 12 cup stove top percolator: Farberware Yosemite). I use enough aluminum foil to have a "handle" I can grab to remove before pouring. What is the purpose for my aluminum foil spout plug? It greatly reduces vapor loss during percolating. You may START with 3-4 mugs of water, but if you forget about the coffee pot, you will quickly boil off a mug of water and change the flavor/strength. Set a simple timer for 6-8 minutes of percolation time, or about 16-18 total minutes from the time you apply heat. For coffee? I like Maxwell House Columbian. Tried many other brands, and "high end" designer / coffee snob beans. I keep coming back to Maxwell House Columbian. I have stopped searching for coffee.

Answer:	We live on our yacht. I brew a full pot about every three days. I replace what is served with hot, boiling water directly into the basket to extend the grounds as I start with a full basket of an extra dark, gourmet blend. I leave the basket in with the grounds as when the brew has cooled and one desires a cup of coffee, we heat in the microwave. Also, if you add a scant amount of salt to the fresh grounds before you brew a pot of coffee, the brew does not turn acidic, an old restaurant trick! I love our percolator!

Answer:	I just bought this to replace my electric percolator. I saw that many people had answered this question positively. I checked the Yosemite bottom with a magnet and the magnet did not stick but never-the-less it still worked on my Duxtop Induction cooktop. The manufacturer says the bottom was 18/0 stainless which is suitable for induction which is, I'm sure, why it works. I tested it against my regular glass top electric range top the water boiled about twice as fast on the induction cooktop. My method ended up being to set the induction cooktop to high until the water boils then turn down the power to 2 (500W, 180 degrees F) and let perc for 6-7 mins. Worked like a charm.

Answer:	I found this to be the best method for filtration and eliminating grounds in the pot. 1) Use 12 cup basket filters. 2) Wet the inside bottom of the basket and run water through the percolator stem. 3) Center paper filter over basket stem and punch wet percolator stem down through filter and hole in basket stem. 4) Push filter to bottom of wet basket to adhere. 5) Drizzle water from tap along sides of paper filter/basket and press ruffled paper to flatten against the wet sides of basket. 6) Add desired amount of coffee and start brewing. I've never had a problem with grounds in my coffee since... enjoy!

Answer:	Grew up on perked coffee in the 70's before ADC (auto drip coffeemakers). Every store shelf coffee was with a bigger grind of coffee back then for the percolaters. Everything now is switched over to ADC coffee grounds. Too small a grind. Leaves coffee grounds in the perked coffee. Need a bigger grind. Let's e-mail coffee companies to make percolator size grounds again. Maxwell House used to be the standard. Youtube this and fast forward to 48 or 51 seconds and see the actual grind https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X13ovEdx-fM or search youtube for "classic TV Commercials - Maxwell house coffee". You can also search and view "maxwell house ADC coffee commercial" that I grew up with when they changed the coffee cans in the store over to the ADC type of coffee that we have today. Question:	When it is done brewing there is a pool of coffee in the filter (about 1-2 cups). It eventually comes down. Anyone else with this problem
Answer:	never had that problem. However there is a mechanism that shuts off water flow thru the filter if the glass pot is not in place. My guess is this mechanism is falsely reporting the absence of the pot at some pint during the brew.

Answer:	it calls for 6 cups of vinegar and 4 cups of water, you put it in the back, press the auto-clean button and it does a good job.

Answer:	Mine has a strong feature, and a 2-4 cup feature. I never use the 2-4 cup button. I always make 6 cups. The strong feature I use every morning. I push that first, than I push the on button.

The Wonderland Trail is a spectacular 90-plus mile loop that encircles the base of Mount Rainier, gaining and losing about 22,000 cumulative feet along the way. It runs through fragrant subalpine meadows, angry river valleys, and mossy forest floors, leaving your head spinning and your eyes longing for more. Around each turn is something new, unique, and unusual. Nature is the masterpiece on display in the gallery that is the Wonderland Trail.

At the center of the gallery stands Mount Rainier at 14,410 feet. A Northwest icon and legend to mountaineers, Rainier has dozens of prominent glaciers, along with permanent snowfields and highly eroded slopes. The Wonderland wraps around Rainier, moving up and down, showcasing the many expressive faces of the volcano. At some vistas, Rainier appears decrepit, powerless, and crumbly, while at others she appears savage, forceful, and strong.
